Nice job on your first render, Majestic. There are afew different ways you can produce a render, one being pen tool (which is pretty difficult to learn) which I rather not use that method, too time consuming to me and I'm not an expert at it. I went ahead a took a stab at the same render and removed the edges by simply removing the edges with an eraser, manually.

 

Time consuming as well, but I enjoy doing it that way because I can zoom it a good bit and get every crook and cranny that I see fit. Pen tool is normally the go to for most advanced users of Photoshop. I just can't stand it unless I'm making a custom shape or something. Other ways are the magic wand, which is better with a solid background then you have the lasso tools and all. Takes some getting used to all the methods, I would suggest just practicing until you find a solution to use it or simply look up tutorials.

Yeah i found the magic wand to be a bit hard, heres the final version, used the eraser to wipe off the edges. not easy at first and i did mess up his hat a bit but im satisfied with the result (a hell of a lot better than the first one ) . thanks for the advice.

Not bad, did you use magic wand on that one? lol.. I see some rough edges, near shoulders on each arm and around his ring finger. Again, just smooth it out with eraser if you wish.

 

Also, when erasing, if you click one spot, hold SHIFT then click another and it will erase between first click and second. If you get what I'm saying. Easier than having to click and drag. Nice work though on the new render Keep it up. I normally use a color background layer underneath whatever I'm rendering out, that way once I erase or begin to cut out something, I can see if I missed any spots or see any rough edges rather than blank canvas

Nah, i used the eraser rofl. im still having a hard time trying to clear out the background without screwing up some parts of the render. even if i zoom in enough its still a bit tricky. I guess it needs a little getting used to. ill try that Shift thing later.

Shift trick helps for long straight lines the best or around shapes. Just keep playing around, you'll get the hang of it

Could someone please render this for me? I want it looking good and I ain't the best at renders. I want someone who is pro at rendering cars.

Make it look like rear windows are tinted and half way down.

i hope this is useful to all gfx guys starting out finally i would like to say a big thanks to graven and gunwrath for being one of the top people contributing and answering requests and everyone else that has pitched in.
