Ways to make money?

So apart from missions, what other ways would you like to be able to buy money?

- Casino (Poker, slot machine, horse betting)

- Online betting/poker.

- Sports tournaments/bets (Example: Playing pool or darts in a bar or having basketball shots against some teenagers in suburban neighborhoods).

- Car races out in the desert areas.

- Bike races in the mountains/forests.

- Robbing people on the streets at night in a stealth activated mini-game where you follow people around and rob them at the right time and place.

- House robbery. Sell what you steal.

What else?

I really liked money on streets, as I remember I collected over 5600$ just by walking down the streets!

- poaching: hunt animals illegally, kill zoo animals and take them to a taxidermist for a rich collector.

- sabotage: get paid buy buisnesses (mafias involved?) to damage/ destroy vehicles and infrastructure belonging to their rivals. you get these missions from buisnessess or people who dislike a particular buisness or organisation.

- kidnapping: use less-lethal means to immobilise your target, handcuff them and take them to those who paid you. you get these missions from various people.

- vigilante: stop crimes or chase down and stop criminals, you can choose if you want to do so using lethal (kill at scene) or less-lethal means (incapacitate and call police). crimes will happen randomly, most wanted criminals are unlocked once you have stopped enough random crimes.

- assassination: get paid to kill people, bonus money is granted if the player scores a clean kill (no witnesses or police alerted). you get these missions from various people.

- volounteer firefighter: extinguish fires and save people from burning buildings. you get these missions from any fire station.

- volounteer paramedic: check people for wounds and take them back to the hospital. you get these missions from any hospital.

That is a very brilliant idea, I like it that one icon14.gif

GTA IV should have had more stuff like this. I remember a bit of business sabotage in Vice City when you buy the taxi cab business and then you go to war with rival taxi cab firms and f**k them up in order to start earning money. I really enjoyed that.

I'm not sure about that one. If Las Venturas is in game, then yeah we will see that, but as we all now know GTA V is set in Southern California and Los Angeles, we are not gonna see LV. And LA is not known for having casinos, so I can't see casino gambling happening in V.

That makes no sense. GTA III, VC, and SA all had vigilante and firefighter missions, and GTA IV had most wanted and assassinations. The other ones he listed are logical extentions of these things. Go back and play more GTA games, dude :)

Why would you want to make money if you can't spend money?

They must bring back car garages since cars are a huge part of Southern California. They did invent the hod rod after all, they basically invented modifying production cars to make it go faster and faster. We have to be able to do that in GTA V. I hope they have hot rods in the game. biggrin.gif

Being a rent boy?

I know that is one of your favorite side economic enterprises, but you can keep that yourself, we don't need GTA tarnished like that thank you.

I like the organ trafficking idea, maybe if you can manoeuvre peoples bodies, you could kill them and throw them in the trunk of your car and call an friend to dispose of the body. $$$

I would like to be able to mug people and instead of just taking their money you could steal their phones, i-pods, watches, jewellery, etc. It could kind of be like in Red Dead Redemption when you have animal skins and sh*t in your inventory and then you could bring them to back-alley dealers/ pawn shops and sell them for money.

Also, since the game is called Grand Theft Auto, i think there should be more emphasis on stealing cars. You should be able to bring cars that you steal somewhere (like the docks in SA or a dodgy car dealer or maybe a scrapyard where the car is stripped for parts) and get money in return. I would like it to be more like in SA where there is a list of cars and you have to find one model of each car rather than in IV where Stevie texts you a specific car. I didn't like how Stevie would say "Hey Niko get me a Patriot" and I'd be like "Ok Stevie, there's one right here, I'll just steal this one and bring it to you" and then Stevie would be like "No! Niko you fool. I don't want that one. I want the one on Huntington St." and I'd be like "But it's the same car you f*cking dick".

Drug dealing. I have a feeling GTAV will involve more drug dealing. In the trailer it looks like there's a guy standing on the corner dealing (when Carlton from Fresh Prince walks past). I would like to be able to rob his stash and then bring it to another dealer and sell it.

I would also like to become an amateur photographer and make money taking photos of guys cocks. HAHAHA. Sorry, just joking. I just wanted to piss off all the homophobes on here.

I would like owning businesses to make a return. I think, instead of running around to each business and collecting some floating dollars in front of the shop like in SA, all the businesses could be managed from one place, like from your phone or a computer and the money would just automatically go into your account.

how will the side missions i suggested, who all pertain to crime exept for the "volounter firefighter" and "volounteer paramedic" ones turn GTA V into a game which is "totally different from GTA" while you find casinos perfectly acceptable?

i don't want to see any form of gambling in GTA V exept for poker you can play with friends, there are enough gambling simulators already.

I prefer Stevie's method than just stealing a random vehicle on the list. The way it was done made it feel like Gone In 60 Seconds. Plus doing it for the first time tested your knowledge of the city. Some were easy, but others were hard if you didn't know the areas very well.

Perhaps combine the two and have a list. Make it accesible via email like Brucie's and when we send the email to accept instead of getting a text the guy calls us and gives vague info on the vehicle and where to look. You'd need to know the different types of vehicles and areas. Hell to make it more like Gone In 60 Seconds make it you have to steal a certain number of vehicles in a specified time limit or just steal them at will. We get 2 options.

Good point. This goes for everything, if I'm going to be fighting for something, I want a steady flow of cash from it. Like in multiplayer perhaps, it's fun to go around and shoot each other, but I want to defend a crackhouse that increases my net worth and defend my drug trade region of the city from rival gangs. Then I want to be able to buy condos, houses, businesses perhaps, warehouses to store drugs. I want to be a real gangster in this game, not a hitman or a collector that goes around and does jobs over, and over, and over, and over, and over. I want to give orders and run a multi-million dollar business, whether it be drugs or an investment bureau manager who has a gangster life on the side. GTA IV really ruined it for me, they beat the 'Do this for me' horse to death for 30 hours of gameplay and it was boring. What's the point of money if all I'm doing is spending it on ammo and cars? It's time to take it a step higher.
