How do I make something like this?

Moved to Visual Arts.

Well all it requires is a world map, a decent video editor and a clip of explosion stock footage. If you find the editor and the map I have 50 different clips of explosions, some even pre-keyed which I could send you.

I have the map, but im just looking for the editor that that I can use to add the explosions (so it looks like the video)

Sony Vegas or After Effects would do it. But they're not for free.

If you search for video editors on the web you will probably find some for free.

I uploaded you some little explosions, inside you will find 10.mov files which are perfectly compatible with Photoshop and After Effects (they are also transparent) wink.gif

Download

In Photoshop they are available as Timeline

If you have anymore questions...

Thanks allot goin-god.

I had to render all files again (made them .avi) because Wax does not support .mov

That means the files are not transparent anymore, you will have to follow this little tutorial in order to get them right.

Download new avi files

Create a new project, right click on the Media Bins and Add Media Files (Ctrl + A)

Drag the video file down to the timeline

Select the explosion file from the left panel, click on the square (marked as color purple in my pic) doing that you will toggle the track properties

Double click on the track properties, now click on Composite Mode (in my pic shows as Co...) because of the window size

And select it as Add, that way you will have the files blend in with the background.

I just realized that downloading from fileshare adds a little - after the format, hope that wasn't a problem.
