Shopping malls

Ok first off, if this topic has been covered already, then I apologise in advance for this barbaric act of terrorism.

Moving on, I'm at this very minute playing Vice City for the first time in years and I totally forgot about the shopping mall in the north of the city. It then dawned on me that San Andreas and IV never really had any shopping malls, which if you think about it seems strange as they are pretty prominant in any city.

So maybe they'll return in V? It would be a fun way to go on a rampage, maybe rip around in an SUV smashing shop window, that kind of thing. It would be a great way to spend your money too. What d'ya think?

Yeah.

That would be actually a good idea.

You could go into a Shopping Mall to buy clothes, food and cause a rampage.

...now this is what i call USEFUL topic...well...its quite possible i can't see why not? ...Los Angeles is a big city, with lots of boutiques, malls and shops...maybe they could even implement it in a similar manner that Volition did in Saints Row 2, there's a huge shopping mall in a downtown area of the city and there're a lot of boutiques and shops there and other stuff to do...

A shopping mall cannot be left undone in V if you ask me.

Only this time, no loading screen when entering one. It should also be possible for cars to find a way into the mall.

Vice City, loved the mall, driving around on a Motorcycle. I miss rampages, yes silly but fun

Yeah, the boundries of fun and activity you could have are limitless in my opinion. If your feeling in a law abiding mood then you could just spend your time purchasing stuff like clothes, maybe stuff for your pad, and then get something to eat (yes i do realise this aint TheSims)

And then when your in "crazy motherf*cker" mood you could just blow the place up with grenades and rpg's before spawning a tank and f*cking people up.

But yes, ah man, Vice City's mall had such a great vibe to it. The glossy floors... the Infernus on display (which you could steal)... so great. I can still replay the

back in my head!

Yeah I vote for it in V, especially if it provides a nice little place to run around shooting in multiplayer.

If they're pursuing the economic thing in the game we could see some troubled malls with lots of vacancies. Maybe they'd add a property development mini-game using a mall so you could restore it and earn money like they did in VC, and SA (and kinda VCS).

It was done pretty well in Assassin's Creed games but with GTA I feel I could get more fun stuff.

this is exactly that what is on the top of my wishlist for gta v...the atmosphere in shopping malls is awesome, and a huge mall in the big world of gta v, where everything what you need is available (clothes, weapons, tattoo, barber, eating/drinking, casino, entertaining(bowling, etc.), bars, clubs)...a place where you can even make out an higher appearance of pedestrians than anywhere else in los santos

Not exactly a mall, but this game looks to feature Rodeo Drive, so at least we might have some sort of pleasures entering a slew of fancy stores.

It would be nice to see an actual indoor mall, though.

Absolutely, I would LOVE to have a shopping mall in V

Maybe even the size of one in Dead Rising 2, with a similar level of how much you can interact with the environment. Minus the zombies of course lmao

And in that mall, they should have a Realistic Steak Escape. Mhm. You know what I'm sayin' wink.gif

Would also love to see mini malls and a Wal-Mart or Sams Club. Me + AK-47 + Wal-Mart = Instant stress relief.

Wasnt there a jump in the middle of that mall that you could only hit if you made it around that turn after the bridge. So many memories of VC.

One of the most glaring omissions in GTAIV were malls, as well as other interiors, like the airport. Speaking of Vice City, the mall was not the only interior space that was cool. Remember the office building where you had to ride the motorcycle through? GTA needs more interior spaces to explore and cause mayhem in. A cruise ship would also add a vast interior much like a mall, and should include the boiler room and captains deck.

White Flight

Yes, a big and crowded one like in Heavy Rain. And cruise ships is a great idea!

MALLS!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE SHOPPING MALLS!!!

Meaning plural. If the game is going to be huge and in Cali (Los Santos) then damnit

it should have malls. At least 4..

I'd love to have a big shopping mall in GTA V!

Although, I never really noticed that there was one missing in GTA IV.
