There's a line to what they say meaning no.But you are right.Because they don't like a Engine doesn't mean others won't.III Era people are going to hate us for this discussion but who cares.We have rights to speak what we feel.Of course will give the credit to the people.

Ether way people will still download their mod. I still like to play their mod over the IV version. An IV version would be fun though. Here is an analogy for it.

 

Original to port

LCS PC Edition mod to LCS Rage

VCS PC Edition mod to VCS Rage

GTA SA to IV SA

GTA VC to VCRage

 

Anyways, I still prefer to play it the way it was originally. Their version is like Rockstar's official port.

 

However I just thought of it. This is more so about the VCS PC Edition team. I think they don't want attention taken away from their mod and directed to a less classic IV port that will not have nearly the stuff their mod has. They want to keep IV modding alive. I think their afraid that their work on the SA version would come useless. If that is the case, I respect that. I hope they bring the entire VCS to PC and wish them luck.

 

So I guess I'll forget about the idea then. I don't want it to kill their mod. I'd rather have their mod than an IV version with much less content.

 

So I will think about my other idea. Making GTA Chinatown Wars on GTA IV. However it will be made as if it was a third episode DLC for IV. I won't port the crappy low poly version of LC that lacks Alderny. IV's LC will be updated with the CTW locations in new models. Stpryline could be redone when mods get more advanced. LC gun club, CTW safehouses with enterable interiors, CTW exclusive weapons like a tazer, ect.

Go idea but don't think it would be good to do for many reasons.That would require many things would prob take year or 2 to do this remastered version of CTW.

Ok. I understand.

 

These problems are the reason why I don't want to start a mod. Not only lack of resources but after dealing with working on mods that die due to lack of support, is why I don't want to start another.

-Scarface TC for Vice City back in 2008 (thanks Windows Vista)

-Liberty City Getaway for GTA SA back in 2009

-IV SA (may be dead)

-Episodes from Liberty Vice

-Episodes from the West

-GTA III Rage Classic

 

What ever. I don't want to fill this thread up with this crap.

Their porting the mod on SA to be like the original game. Why can't I port to IV so it can be like one of the III ports to IV? I would give them credit. They would be the first ones to receive it. However they don't like having it on Rage. So that must mean that they don't like VCRage or IV:SA. I hope I can get the best out of it. I don't want to upset the LCS and the VCS PC Edition teams. They have the right to deny you their hard work. Anyways, theres no reason to convert VCS/LCS to rage, it'll just be the map, something pretty, with slight changes, they are porting to SA to have the GAME, even missions, on PC.

Yes, I guess thats a good reason. Even if I did a TC like that, I think it would end up dead anyways. The LCS team, Im not 100% but I think their converting the original Rockstar models to SA. But I notice that VCS PC Edition is acuratly in higher quality. When I say acuratly, I mean you don't see a difference, but it just looks better.

 

But we still have the identical III and VC map ported to Rage. (SA too.)

It still took them time to convert the models and crack the format, if they didnt crack it, it still wouldve taken longer to convert the PS2 models to PC instead of PC models to PC

Actually, i stopped working on 2Rage for some reasons :

 

- Not motivated

- Not interrested by the map, i (almost) never played GTA2

- Too hard, GTA2 is a almost 2D game so it's hard to port it on a 3D engine

- Don't want to work on two projects at once

 

For GTA III RC, i will not stop, it's close to release. I except a release at August or September.

- Too hard, GTA2 is a almost 2D game so it's hard to port it on a 3D engine

- Don't want to work on two projects at once

 

For GTA III RC, i will not stop, it's close to release. I except a release at August or September.

I should have time in a week to do EFLC. I'll PM you once I can. I still got to fix IV SA's EFLC port so it works with the dummy files, port MP to TBOGT MP, and port all the right textures over. Then I promised the VCHD team I would port their mod too. Unless it would be better to do them in the order of their release dates. But I'll PM you once I'm ready. Just let me know if any file layouts have changed. I can get started with the current build I have if their still the same.

 

But, on EFLC, you could have GTA 2 on TLAD. Even though its not finished, people would still get to play it and see what its like.

No, we didn't bother, freemode works when u have phone, but then still the rest of the game modes need to be removed from the list. We can't offer any help on EFLC, sorry. Be a wise man, and save yourself a lot of frustration. don't stick your nose in too far in it.

 

Luckily though, we already got menu working on EFLC

It can use some of the SCO's from IV. Anywho lets not clutter up the topic.

 

Edit: Now if only that menu were real, you would probably want to have it.

I don't know for the billboard. Maybe a bug, i will fix it later.

For the trees, they are disabled. First i finish the cols and then i will do the vegetation.

True, it's a good base. I haven't made any changes yes.

 

And in this pic he used extra sunny 2, which is unused. The clouds move like the speed of light there.
