The spider tank is just a virtual reality mini game, totally optional and not connected to the story at all. You control the thing so no need to get panic attacks man...

 

Not to mention it's also probably the best mini game of the bunch, since Alone would be a lot better if it was actually challenging. Same with Conspiracy, oh man, I got robbed.

Worse than Splinter Cell? Man.

 

I've still got my eye on this. Looks a very fun game, but I lost about 40% interest as soon as i saw a spider tank. I really don't need a panic attack when i play games. I don't see why they had to ruin a game with something so unconnected. *shudders*

Better than conviction but at least that had Ironside. Johnson's just... Lame tbh

 

I'm a big sc fan so chill; I'm not knocking the series... Just everything past DA.

 

Back on topic:

The spider tank thing - it's a phobia - a nonsensical fear over something. Anything that resembles one freaks me out

Insects, tomatoes (the tops of them)... It might be fun but i can't deal with it. If it's 100% optional then Ok, but if there's even a single mission that forces you to even see it, then i can't deal with it

True. They replaced them because they're Ubisoft. I suspect there's more to ironside leaving than just a new guy. I know he dislikes violence, and they really bumped up his pay for Conviction to get him to stay - i suspect that's part of it.

I may be one of the only people that actually liked Watch Dogs' storyline. While waiting for GTA V I've been playing Watch Dogs for hours, finishing the main missions, and although they have their common "Ubisoft faults", I found them to be pretty fun, and the characters weren't too bad either.

I feel like Ubisoft made Aiden look like a badass forcefully but at the same time they actually made the guy have some emotion. Some missions were action packed, which I liked, but I think some of the chases were overkill, like (custom spoiler, select text) the last one where Damien hacks the ctOS AND sends the cops after you, but I found the game enjoyable after all. Still thinking what's going to be the deal with Jordi though. Probably in the sequel.

W_D started with an amazing gameplay demo and only badass missions were shown. What actually happened was a boring, low-graphic game with the only highlights that were in the videos before. The city feels empty and lifeless...

Total waste of money.

Just the open world wasn't done right imo. Doesn't feel alive enough. I played the PS3 version so it might be different for NG. And it was lazily done with weird physics. Should've out that effort into something else if they weren't going to do it right.

I think some parts were done well, like if you're a menace, people react to you differently, especially if a news broadcast comes up about you. I actually enjoyed jogging around, siphoning bank accounts as the game has some unique NPC animations and such. I don't think it was done wrong, but just not exceptionally.

Doesn't get much better sadly. I grimly stuck at it for a weekend then got bored and did another The Last of Us play through. Watch Dogs disc back in its case collecting dust. Will probably trade it in for Assassin's Creed Rogue when that ships

Picked this game up for PS3 and have to say I'm not overly impressed.

 

Seems pointless being an open world game as there isn't really too much to do that isn't mission related other than very repetitive crime stuff.

 

It also feels rushed - driving is pretty lame, the sound of the car engines is truly appalling and there are a load of glitches.

 

Still waiting for that game that'll persuade me to upgrade to PS4

If you haven't played Last of Us, I highly recommend Last of Us Remastered on PS4! Best game I have ever played with GTAV.

There's a guide to how to getting it easy. Just disable and then enable online invasions, then the likelihood is strong that someone will invade your session. Keep pausing your game to check if someone is tailing you, then when you pause, and gametime freezes, meaning they're gone, keep repeating the process until you get the trophy.
