So am I the only one that had issues driving? Every time I tried to turn it was delayed by like a second, or is that how the driving is in this game?

I don't remember having that problem, but it's been a lot of hours since I've played. I'll see if I have it after work

 

After playing it for about 40 more minutes I've actually gotten used to it, and now I barely notice any "delay" not sure what the heck that was about..

Enjoying the hell out of this game anyway

 

Especially those minigames, I felt like I was gonna end up playing the Psychedelic minigame for an hour or two

The game honestly isn't all that bad. It's a breath of fresh air for me. Especially when there's very few games on next gen. Hacking is fun and is a new experience in gameplay for me. Driving is kinda bad but when you get good at it it becomes that much more rewarding. Reminds me of times when realism wasn't what made a game fun. Anyone ever play burnout? Loads of fun in that. Very unrealistic. Overall the environments are nice. Not very far Into the game but overall satisfied with my purchase.

Every open world game its the same crying on every forum. Driving mechanics everytime. This isn't Forza or Gran Turismo. Your Wii U is waiting for you.

 

You do understand that people are perfectly allowed to complain about a core mechanic in a game, right? This isn't some mechanic relegated to one or two side missions then never seen again. If it were, you'd then maybe have a point. But we both know that isn't the case at all.

 

I really despise the assumption that people who are complaining about the mechanic must be bad at it in order to complain.

 

I'm not at all sure what the Wii U has to do with anything either.

f*ck, I just tried the game for the first time and finished the first mission (everything on Low) but when I first went to freeroam it started to lag constantly.

 

I seriously need to upgrade my rig

 

The game for what I played is fun, the driving was decent, even though GTAIV handling sh*ts on it (didnt play GTAV yet), but it was decent, it was fun.

 

I might try it again in the future, when im ready. cant be arsed to spend money on the pc now.

I could be wrong, but I think it's W_D's equivalent of GTA's wanted level star system.

yeah i know that 2 squares is police and 3 squares is the killer chopper!

 

I'm having issues with the pc version though. So far with everything on ultra the ps4 version looks better in my eyes! but it's not even pushing my cards in terms of tempreture about 12 degress below normal so i have a feeling that they have limited it somehow depending on hardware.

I don't see how my post was directed generally at you, but to everyone on every social media site or YouTube talking about the graphics in general when they look amazing on PC, but i guess if a game didn't have haters it wouldn't be a good game.

I'm going to test Ultra tomorrow. Given that everyone's been ranting about how a six-core Intel, 32GB RAM made from unicorn semen and two overclocked Titan's can't run it stably on high and I'm getting a solid 50+ fps on an ancient quad-core Phenom and a 2GB GTX680 so far without a single noticeable drop in frame rate, I feel that the "you need 3GB VRAM, a 4770K and a virgin sacrifice for Ultra to even run" rhetoric seems like a gross exaggeration.

The cover system feels so old, I've found myself multiple times trying to dodge enemy fire in cover however due to the stupid system I always end up on the wrong side of the wall, plus the fact that you have to press X to do corners is ridiculous, it should have been automatic like V.

I think you're just frustrated because you haven't mastered it.

and no; cornering SHOULD NOT be automatic. if the game automatically forced you around the corner then you wouldn't be able to plan your sneaking around enemies. sometimes you need to wait at the corner.

 

I'm almost into the 3rd Act and so far the cover system works very well in situations where I need to use it.

it took a little bit of getting used to, sticking and unsticking from cover and sliding around edges, but once you get it you can sneak past anyone like a master ninja.

 

Any idea about how to make cars drivable with keyboard?

after playing the game for 30mins (and with the help of all the Videos etc i have watch on YT) plus watching my brother play the storylines,here are the impression and points:

PROS

-Nice City (but not too detailed like HD Los Santos).

 

-Superb NPCs and Peds.

 

-Great Graphics (the PS4 Version atleast,but not like the E3).

 

-Hacking is Okay,could be better.

 

-Improvised Some GTA Features i.e.Sleeping to Save but now you can set the time and the Trailed GPS.

 

CONS

-No Drive-by Shooting (like wtf? a feature that have been adopted by many openworld games/clones since GTA3,13 years ago).

 

-Driving looks SO Bad (Almost Wonky like Sleeping Dogs imo)

 

that my impressions for now,and if i play the game more (which i will do later on) i will edit this and the Pros could outweigh the Cons (which i 100% doubt),anyways game is okay i would give it a final 8/10 (nowhere 10/10 like GTA5 or other great games from the past year) and yeah my reaction yesterday was kind of Childhish and i apologise for that once again,although i still dont like this game that much and tbh i am not putting on my fanboy glasses

Why do people continue to bring up the lack of shooting from a f*cking car? Even your video game gods Rockstar can't get the mechanic right. Look at the main weapon of the game...hacking. Now imagine holding a hacking device, a fun and steering a car. See the problem? No? Ok. Ubisoft didn't make a ONGWTF IM SHOOTING EVERYTHING game. They made a game where you use your brain a bit more than you use a gun

Dude drive-by shooting is not needed when you can use the city as your weapon while driving.

yeah those who want drive by shooting are being a little unreasonable. All you're doing is adding to your wanted level by shooting and its hard enough to shake the cops. You can literally hack like the game wants you to and get better results.

I'm not complaining about not having the option to shoot outside your car. Didn't even think about it untill reading it in here and even if the option was there it would be switched between gun or phone say like in GTA with pressing X or square to change weapons it would between those gun or phone in WD.

better idea: he can put it in his coat pocket quickly and pull his gun from his belt. all while one hand is on the wheel. imagine this, this can make a really quick and fluent and realistic animation.

 

note to future: if this is in Watch_Dogs 2, they were reading these forums and they stole my idea!

Yeah that makes sense. "Let's put the phone down, reach for a gun, break out the window and then attempt to aim at moving targets while navigating a road." Meanwhile what Aiden does that actually makes sense in the game is forget the gun, hits a button and pops up road spikes and then hides in an alley.

WHAT THE f*ck... I just played it (PC version) and I can't believe it.. reminds me of Scarface The World is Yours, but that was 2006, and Scarface is way better.

In my humble opinion, you just CAN'T compare it to GTA V. No f*cking way. You can compare it to Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row and all these generic-wannabe-GTA-clones.

 

I played it for 30 mins and already uninstalled it. Thank God I didn't care much about it when they announced it, otherwise I'd be pissed right now. Don't believe the hype.

 

Now that's just MY opinion, nobody has to agree with it and I have the right to express my feelings about this game, so I'm doing it.

 

BTW, I played it with HIGH settings, but that doesn't even matter. Gameplay sucks.
