If they're going for being different and realism, maybe there'd be a button to turn on the radio when you enter the car, rather then it auto-playing upon entering.

Maybe a mission too related to him hacking the radio network somehow.

Either way, i want some more news on this damnit.

People turn off their radios, then turn off the engine?

Um, most cars i've been to, yes.

Really? XD

In our car we just turn off the engine as usual. When we turn it back on, the radio comes on.

In a few weeks or so...

I see what you did there, good one icon14.gif

Back on topic kind of, almost every vehicle I've been in has the radio come on with the engine, be it a car, van or lorry, bikes on the other hand...

I wonder if vehicles will be customisable, now that would be cool monocle.gif

The radios in both my of cars stay on when you turn off the ignition. They turn off when you open the door or if you don't turn the ignition back on after a short time. I am glad they don't play automatically when I open the door, though. That could be embarrassing depending on the track I had loaded.

Customizable vehicles would be awesome.

I can imagine my friend and I rolling in a custom supercar, assasinating people biggrin.gif

If co-op allows for four players or more in one session I would have a black one of these and rob a bank biggrin.gif

EDIT; I'm not sure how much of this is true but there has been a recent flow of information here

Did anybody else notice the car icon in the bottom slot of the profiler?

It wasn't selected at any point in either of trailers, I wonder what that could be, along with the two hodden ones of course.

One piece of evidence that may hint to vehicle customisation could be DeMarco's SUV because his white-on-black combination only appears once, this may howevwr just be a unique variant like we saw in GTA IV sad.gif

I think it just disables vehicles in Pearce's radius.

Seems most likely for me.

That's an interesting thought; if that were true then that would mean that everybody's car is controlled or at least linked to the ctOS.

This would mean that if Aiden stole a car it could actually be traced by other hackers or the police unfortunately.

Wait... okay, it might not be to disable other's cars.

But I just did some googling and discovered that hackers have been able to hack into some control systems of modern cars, such as unlocking a keyless BMW, and taking over the brake functions of other cars.

It'd be cool if you chose a car and then you can remotely control it yourself.

Or set off it's car alarms, windscreens wipers, all the indicators and the horn at the same time to scare the driver, causing him to slam the brakes and run XD

Remote control of cars would be cool, and it would make sense if there's train control that the car icon would be for car control.

I just hope that the two hidden icons aren't for aircraft control and boat control separately, I would rather see one universal vehicle control ability.

I imagine that there would be a "master" control that uses 100% battery on Aiden's Profiler.

And it would shut off control of the entire street you are in. Blackout.

But this would cause police attention and they would look at Pearce and think it was him, after all he wears a baseball cap and a trench coat.

Only to be used under extreme conditions.

I just had a close look at the details of the damage model included and I must say it looks very impressive, minor parts of the cars such as the mirrors become visibly damaged when the fuel station exploded.

If this level of detail is maintained, I shall buy the game and a pair of shades;

So the centre console has air conditioning, a screen and the control face of a sound system, along with a proper automatic gear-shift lever. I'm impressed. monocle.gif

I still can't believe this game is coming out this generation. It will push the limits of the consoles to the maximum. Xbox players will need a bag to carry all the CDs with the game. smile.gif

Interesting...

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/37709...t-and-next-gen/

Speaking during a conference call following the publication of the company's first half financial results, he said: "For the first two years of next gen development, because we are making our games on next gen and old gen at the same time, we expect the overall development costs will not increase. We don't know about the third year, when we will take full advantage of the capacity of the consoles."

Meanwhile, Guillemot said it is "very important to consider that revenue perproduct will increase", and that the "lifespan of next generation games will be longer".

This, he said, is due to new game elements such as DLC microtransactions . Ubisoft said that, for most of its titles, the average revenue per user would be higher.

Last month, Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinezsaid full price retail titles can learn from free-to-play models, and that he expects the next generation of consoles to "offer more and more item-based content".

While Guillemot didn't name-check any particular games being developed for consoles both old and new, the stunning Watch Dogs , which he today reiterated is set for release in 2013 , is an obvious contender.

Take-Two's CEO also said last week that the arrival of new more powerful consoles won't necessarily mean a leapin development costs.

"We don't have a ramp up of operatingexpenses for next generation," said Strauss Zelnick. "In many instances, we believe that it may be somewhat easier to make titles for next-gen depending on how the technology comes together."

http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/3...iving-next-year

During Ubisoft's financial call today, the subject of Watch Dogs came up, and CEO Yves Guillemot said what many consumers wanted to hear: The game will be coming to current-gen consoles (and possibly next gen) in 2013.

Guillemot mentioned the highly-anticipated game during the financial call as "coming next year". Watch Dogs first debuted at this year's E3 and was widely considered one of the best surprises of the show:

The game, as you can see, allows you to hackor rewire various devices in the open-world environment to use as a weapon or a distraction.

This announcement may have come today because Ubisoft needed a little good news. Although overall its financial results were better than this time last year, the company still posted a $41 million overall loss for the first half of the year, which will likely be offset by fast-selling titles such as Assassin's Creed III , which they also announced sold 3.5 million copies in its first week.

I sense a GTA V-style marketing campaign coming our way, with a long drought of information and media relating to the game. confused.gif

It's probably bullsh*t but I read somewhere that Pearce's hacking tools come in a "skill tree" type setup, where you can create hack loadouts and using the right ones can help in objectives you're completing.

If Microsoft do unveil their new Xbox this E3, as Major Nelsons countdown may indicate, then this may be slightly wasted in terms of capability. Although since Microsoft is arrogant in thinking Kinect is the sh*t, it might well be that their announcing the next Kinect or something related to that, so hopefully it won't be wasted, since the PC port will likely be held back by the capability of consoles as well by being released on current generation consoles.

Just noticed that the map has the exact same color style as the one from GTA IV, same happened with Saints Row The Third, developers these days have no imagination...

Aside from those the game looks incredible.

To be honest, that's like saying

"I just noticed that the primary mode of transportation is the exact same as the one from GTA IV, same happened with Saints Row: The Third, developers these days have no imagination"

They all look like that because they want it to look realistic.

What'd you expect it to look like? Saints Row 1?

Judging from what you replied is clearly you did not read what I said, I was talking about the COLOR style.

user posted image

I don't see how this is 'realistic'?

No offense, but if THQ and Ubisoft lack imagination for using grey maps then so does Rockstar because True Crime Streets of LA had a dark grey map with light grey streets and that game came out 5 YEARS BEFORE GTA 4. So if Ubisoft and THQ stole from Rockstar then Rockstar stole from Activision. Activision was making dark grey maps back when Rockstar and everyone else were still making colorful maps.

Not really worth comparing to True Crime, all those 3 maps I have posted have some key differences which make them stand out as a copy.

New Watch Dogs news! - http://www.neoseeker.com/news/21828-ubisof...ic-multiplayer/

Right now, the team is working around the clock to get Watch Dogs out next year, in time to stay on current gen consoles.

2014?

Why can't they just delay it for a bit and release it on next gen consoles if that is the case then? I know they want to maximize thier profits by releasing it this gen because there is over 140 million current gen consoles owners but really, 2014 is just too much. I don't think people will even remember this game by then. confused.gif

I have a feeling that Watch Dogs will release maybe in October. I hope I'm right. Imagine having both GTA V and Watch Dogs by October this year. Makes me bubbly inside.

It doesn't matter when it was published Omen, even if it was published on January 1st 2013 and it says next year then they mean 2014, it doesn't work any other way.
