Game Overview

Set in Chicago, where a central network of computers connects everyone and everything, Watch_Dogs explores the impact of technology within our society. Using the city as your weapon, you will embark on a personal mission to inflict your own brand of justice.

Chicago's overarching network is known as the Central Operating System (ctOS), and it controls almost all of the city's technology and information - including key data on all of the city's residents.

You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you'll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand. You'll access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy... and more.

I thought this was next gen. Those graphics look like hard work for a 360 to handle. Considering the demo was on PC, they will probably be reduced by quite a bit so the 360 doesn't melt.

You posted 4 video of the same thing, dude, and the platforms were not officially announced.

Watch Dogs, a new title from Ubisoft Montreal, was just announced during Ubisoft's pre-E3 press conference. The game was being played with an Xbox 360 controller during the presentation; however, it looked remarkably better than any console title we've seen to date. Could this be our first hint at the next generation? Ubisoft announced no platforms. It also looks like there may be drop-in-drop-out multiplayer, which is always a welcome addition.

Check after the break for the stunning gameplay demo.

Update: Ubisoft's press site has filed platform listings for Watch Dogs: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC

They're not the same. The first video was the introduction trailer, followed by all three parts of the gameplay demo.

The platforms haven't been confirmed by Ubisoft. Sites like joystiq and IGN are merely speculating.

Tho this game's graphics look amazing spectacular, It seemed like the cool action moves looked to simulated instead of played (Like in Stranglehold, It also look's very similar too Splinter Cell.... (Also a Ubisoft Game, So I won't pay too much attention to that)

Graphics 10/10! Especially if that was Xbox Gameplay

So far this is my best in show. This game looks amazing, and is looking to raise the bar in open world city games.

Most likely running on a high-end PC.

How often at E3 does a crowd cheer that hard for a demo for new IP, that was just announced right then. That's how good the game looks, not only graphically, but gameplay-wise. Can't wait to see more from this game.

Holy sh*t. Just watched the demo and holy sh*t. So awesome.

More excited on this than GTA V.

After hearing lots of speculation about this game, I finally gave a chance to watch this.

Well by the gods, it blew my expectations alright. I'm not too impressed with the graphics but the living breathing city and the superb voice-acting are what caught my eye. And I just have to get that guy's coat, it looks so stylish badass doesn't it?

I haven't even started on the gameplay wise even. Jeez, watching the guy using everyday modern-technology to his advantage makes me think that why the hell have other games not done this yet? Everything is just so slick and smooth.

You know what this game does? It oozes out style, and that's my kind of game. All this judging from that demo, crazy.

Not impressed, sure, the graphics are amazing. But why do I get a feeling that it's the same blend of gunfights and chases only with a few more bells and whistles?

For instance, the guy caused a massive car pile up. That should have killed the target. Was it necessary to have a gunfight?

I guess they really wanted another 'run from the cops' sequence, eh?

Looks gimmicky and unoriginal.

Will this be the game that can equal GTAV? I can say that this game is by far the most realistic in any open world game I just saw and played. The gameplay is awesome I really like it. Imagine the chaos you can cause on this game than SR series. And this game is more serious than GTA series I guess, base on the cut scenes and gameplay. That was just my own opinion ok.

The game looks interesting, and the Introduction sets up an interesting premise, but does anyone else find it highly ironic that Ubisoft are developing this game given how insidious their PC DRM is?

simple answer: no biggrin.gif

ubisoft is a noob when compared to R*. this game will most likely to compete with SRTT and sleeping dogs.

anyways, is this game really a open world or you guys are just speculating

if so, shut up and take my money smile.gif

It's open world. I haven't watched the whole video yet because my internet is slower than a cursed turtle. I'm impressed at the looks but looks can be deceiving . It might be Assassin Creed style game in which after you finished the story you get bored(maybe just me?).

Why the Hell must we even compare it to GTA? Just because we're GTAForums doesn't mean GTA is better than every other game out there. I don't like the game because it's better than other games, I like the game because of the game itself.

You know what's my favorite part of the demo? Pierce causing a massive car pile up and causing innocents to die. Then he proceeds to rescue this guy who's grieving over the lost over that woman driver from the car wreckage which Pierce caused himself! Complex dude, I find that sexy.

Why the Hell must we even compare it to GTA?

Because they insisted on including a needless shoot out and car chase.

I maintain that a multi-car pile up should have instantly killed the target.

Gotta say, after the shock of the seriously impressive visuals, the gameplay itself looks stale.

It's just like... I've seen this before. Maybe Max Payne 3 has raised the bar too high for shooting action, maybe I'm getting too old for video games...

Nah, f*ck that. My love for video games hasn't died. This particular game just seems uninspiring on its own.
