Info

  • Event will last 4 race nights, and each time we'll do 10 races each with different and interesting settings.

     

  • Minimum of 4 people need to show up, so we can drive one race day. Minimum of 8 people, 2 in each team to start the event.

     

  • Top 5 drivers win points. 1st gets 8, 2nd gets 6, 3rd gets 4, 4th gets 2 and 5th gets 1.

     

  • Fastest lap in a race gives an extra 1 point.

     

  • Griefing is not allowed(driving backwards, ramming other people on purpose, going reverse, etc).

     

  • You may not switch teams after they have been formed, and confirmed.

     

  • If teams are full, any new racers will race solo, unless one team is without any driver for a race.

     

  • To sign up, post your PSN, and add AndyGanteks to your friends list if you don't have him already.

As for teams, if anyone has any specific wishes which team they want to be in post. I was thinking of drawing the teams and balancing their strength, once we get 8 people, i'll draw them!

Added ya'll. I think i'll wait for 2-3 more folks to sign up & come from their vacations, then i'll draw the teams.

Teams will be drawn based on strength of players, as i wanna balance things out, to make races more interesting.

If anyone has any special wishes which team to represent, do post(like Grease did).

There is also the constructors and gangs table like in the past Racing Leagues 09 and 010 (wasn't in 011), so you can freely bring your gang mates to this event to win more points for your gang if you'd like.

 

First races will, finally, and probably be next weekend.

 

And Cake, can you sent me the invite on PSN, your friends list is full, can't add you.

I'm not digging the traffic settings, high traffic in 4 races. And traffic on in all the races? It's never been like that before in the Racing League has it?

If we are hoping to be 8+ players in all the races, this certainly won't help the lag issue, and lag really is a issue in racing. Also this really takes some of the skill out of it, since traffic is unpredictable and anyone can risk getting hit by a retarded pedastrian driver. I don't think it's a good idea with traffic at all confused.gif

lol @coolman - I'll be shocked if Dr Mayhem ever shows up !

 

good teams in general though, surprised i'm with Grease and not against for a change, but it is a nice surprise smile.gif

 

think Cake has a very good point about the traffic settings, if it does make the game really laggy and problematic for good racing, i'd strongly reconsider your initial settings Andy smile.gif

 

Also I'll do my best to be there this Friday, but no guarantee, next week definite yes though

Race days 2, 3 and 4 won't have any traffic in most races, this is just for the first racing day, which is mixed vehicles+endurance on Alderney tracks.

 

Another reason why i added traffic is to spice up the races more, since they are all quite short with 2 laps, so i don't think it's going to cause that much of an issue really?

 

 

 

If traffic causes mass lag after the first race or two, i'll remove it for the other 7-8 races, if it's such a big deal, but i think it won't, and that it'll work smoothly.

I understand that you wanna spice things up and traffic can be entertaining at times, but at least keep it to low traffic then. High traffic with this many people racing will be horrible at best suicidal.gif
