lil weasel
We need more information. Which Version did you purchase? Did you or someone else modify the Game? Are you playing with Original installation DVD in the Drive?

Prometheus
The San Andreas Forum is for UN-modded game questions, and problems. In Your haste to post You must have missed the Bottom Main Menu choice for MODDING. And obviously the Banner lettering: Modding questions belong in THE MODDING FORUMS! Where You click on the underlined words. That’s where You can find Players who ARE dedicated Modders, they are more likely to give You some assistance! Be careful to post in the correct forum topic, as they can get persnickety about that. lil weasel
The San Andreas Forum is for UN-modded games. What we recommend is to get rid of all Mods. Play the game with a CLEAN install from your DVD. And, play with the DVD in the Drive. If you don't have a problem with game play you don't have a problem. You may then install your mods ONE at a time playing the game to be sure it still works. Then, you may install the next mod. Repeat. When you get to the mod that screws the game don't use it OR go to the Modding Forums for help. The Version is the Edition of the Game. The Version number will appear in the lower right corner of the Menu Page, and on the Game Disc/Box. Version obviously won't have a Version (Edition) number. Also the Legal V1 games haven't been available since 2006 (except for very rare occasions.)
Mitsuha
We need more information.Which Version did you purchase? Did you or someone else modify the Game? Are you playing with Original installation DVD in the Drive? What do you mean which version? There have been a couple mods added by my mate. Like he put in a Nissan GTR and a Dodge Challenger, but that's it as far as I'm aware it is possible to fix that; you need an original gta3.img backup but afaik it has a sh*tload of mb so if you want you can request specific files instead or if you still have your installer install another original copy that's what i did when i had mods. lil weasel
The GTAForums is not a file sharing site. If any files need replacing and you don't have backups you will have to reinstall the game.
