Kifflom112
The M5 looks so awesome in Horizon. @Gunwrath, yeah I was disappointed in the lack of great cars from Forza 4 like Audi. Hope DLC adds some but I doubt it. I'd love the 2013 S8 and the 2013 RS5. Also the 2013 S7 would be awesome.

Forzum
After trying out the demo, I´m sold, I really want to get this. However got a preorder on Black Ops II & Halo 4 so thinking about skipping black ops II for a while and get this instead.

That's the whole point soft lad, it's a spin off game from the main franchise. Although Turn 10 have lended a little hand it's primarily been developed by Playground Games. Some of the team at Playground Games have come from Codemasters, Bizarre Creations, Criterion Games, Black Rock Studios and a few others who would have made titles like Burnout and Project Gotham. Meno
I was honestly very disappointed when i heard there will be no customization and it lacks cars from Forza 4, when it was hyped as the "Forza 4 with an open world" or something. Not sure if i'll buy it or not. Not all that interested on it anymore. Not gonna lie I was waiting for I game where i can just buy an old S-body Nissan or something and rice the hell out of it and drift on the parking lot of a burger king with 5 degrees of negative camber. Not just another so said "supercar game"
Tycek
"It'a a joke. It's all a joke." Forza Horizon is turning into one. Developers said that Season Pass will allow you to save around 15 - 16%. After quick counting it gives us information that all add-ons will cost around 4800 MSP when bought separately. Rally expansion will cost 1600 MSP, so it leaves 3200 on single add-ons. Monthly add-ons will cost 2400 MSP, so it will leave around 800 for some other one bigger add-on. We will get 6 add-ons with 6 cars each. Not very great number especially if we look at month one add-on. 4 of these cars were already in game (in older versions - 2010 vs 2012 and or in different bodies Competizione - Spyder, Aventador - Aventador J, etc.) and two of them (Boss, Bel-Air) are copied from FM4. No offence, but it's not really the best what developers can came up with. In FM4 we were getting really sweet cars in the add-ons and we were getting nice diversity (street car, sport car, super car, LMP car, etc.) Selection of free cars that will be given to players is also quite bad. If you'll play the game in the first week after premiere you'll get Saleen S5 Raptor. This car was already present in previous Forzas. Season Pass holders will get one free car as a gift - 2006 Lamborghini Miura - yup, it was also present in previous games. I really hope they will fix it in the future. Rally expansion is interesting, but does it really have a point of existing with games like Dirt or WRC 3 on the market? One thing is great about FH. It's fact that we will very likely get night races and weather changes in future Forza games. Edited October 18, 2012 by Tycek

Not just another so said "supercar game" Dafuq? No customization? Who told you that!?! According to a gameplay video I saw of Forza Horizon, someone was tuning up a Ferrari F40, and it seemed to me that the same options from F4 is there, meaning Turbo, Trans, Engine upgrades, Tires, that kind of stuff, you can also visually customize your to quite a high point with things like (a few new rims), Matte Paint!, vinyls and that type of stuff. I do agree with the missing cars from Forza 4 thing though, I was really hoping to drive my Nissan on the open world, but oh well, atleast I have my Diablo and EB110. Also that Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione 2012 looks f*cking awesome! Aventador J too?!!?!? I CAN'T F*CKING WAIT! I will be playing this game for hours on end. Sneakerhead.
There is customization, but tuning was cut out. Like fine tuning? If so, then I am really dissapointed T10/Playground Games, I was really hoping to lower my cars and tune them for certain terains.
Tycek
You can lower your cars by installing different types of shocks, as it was previous games, but changing things like gear ratio, tire pressure, camber, etc. was cut out.

I was surprised at the dev session when they said there wasn't weather changes in this one. They did make a valid point though, that the last thing you want at a festival is rain. Doesn't change the fact it happens, however.

GunWrath
Really no need for exact tuning. Can't tune for asphalt, because most of the events will involve off-road as well. But this isn't a sim nor a die-hard racing game.. It's just a playful spin o the main game. Customization will be fine by me.. If I want to tune I'll slap in F4 or some old Nascar game. I guess i read that the customization/tuning wont be in from YouTube or something. Apparently it seems that only the tuning part is cut off only. Which is kind of a shame but I'll be looking at this game in a all new way again. I thought at first it's like TDU or something where you can do basically nothing to your car except add stickers. Shouldn't trust some silly YT comment so blindly. I took a look at some gameplay and the car list. And I'm actually pretty pumped up from this again. I mean there's the C10 GT-R, Supra, AE86 and S15 and such still. I think I can cope with them. Would have loved the MkII Escort though Drove like thousand of km's on it on FM4. Would love to take it for some spin on open roads.
Kifflom112
Wow, this topic turned into irrelevant bitching. Anyways, call me dumb but I just found out tuning isn't what I thought it was: upgrading engines whatnot. It's something else, something I never use. So yeah...I really don't care that tuning is gone. Edited October 18, 2012 by Kifflom112
papanesta
I'm still hooked on the demo, it's just fun to take in the scenery. I cannot say which I like better: the daytime or the night. And the dawns, one minute it's pink/purple and the next it's bright orange with huge shadows. Such beautiful scenery. Yeah, it is beautiful. If possible, the first thing I'm going to do is explore all roads. Didn't think I'd be looking this forward to the game, to be honest. Well, actually you have to unlock the map as the story progresses. Damn, didn't think they'd pull that one. Any more information on it? Got a link to the article? Guess I'll just explore as much as possible, find all the discount signs I can. No link? Because in this video, they say there's no restrictions. Ex Hellraiser
I agree, the demo is eating up my free time. I like the speed zones, really competitive. This game looks like Forza 4+Need for Speed. Great combination. I love the points for stunts thing. Gives me something to burn time on other than driving in a straight line. Kifflom112
So get me a blue M5, get on the northern end of the main avenue and I am set. I'm surprised the traffic AI aren't slow on main avenues, I mean now they drive 65 and take off sort of unrealistically fast.
RockStarNiko
I might get either Forza 3 or Forza 4. Forza 3 has an ulltimate collection version that includes all the DLC yes? When do you think Forza 4 will release a similar ultimate collection with all DLC included I wont be getting Forza Horizon for at least a year because of their DLC policy. Nothing like trying to prove your point by refusing to post a link . Is the refusal to dig it up because such article might not exist? From what the developers have said in that video and looking at a few gameplay videos now on Youtube the map looks very accessible from the beginning and it's the events that are getting unlocked via story progression.
