(PS3 here) ah silly me, at the start you do beginner, intermediete and expert, he would have chose the latter which would have changed his default options his difficulty will be world class, although expert is still not strictly a difficulty, it is an option preset *adjusts tie* and I would but just 2 problems 1 - I do not have FIFA 13 yet 2 - I do not have FIFA 13 yet I know that that is in fact the same problem repeated but I felt it was such a fundamental one It needed to be used twice (yes I quoted, well referenced, red dwarf, what are you gonna do?) I was comfortably winning 3-0 when a penalty was given in the 80th minute and there were no players in the box at all. I looked at the replay and it didn't show anything that was worth a penalty. It was 3-1 because of the penalty. In the 85th minute, I hit the cross bar and Chelsea went on some massive counter attack with 8 players and scored even though Hazard was stupidly offside when the ball was played to him and then it was 3-2. In the 88th minute, I make a perfectly clean tackle for the ball and my player gets sent off and it was somewhere near the 30 yards away from goal area, yet the free kick was given just outside the box and they scored the equalizer to make it 3-3. Then in stoppage time which felt about 10 minutes, David Luiz scored a f*cking bicycle kick from outside the box; making it 4-3. Torres 85 last year, puh-lease, shev 88 a few years back (ps2 time) yeah. right! kalou's ratings say it all, alex, cech, bosingwa, essien (to a lesser extent), anelka (towards the end especially), and quaresma (when they got him on loan). they massively over-rate chelsea all the time and are biased towards them with every iteration, hazard 87 - he is good, but not that good, since we are bsing things from last season he should be 85 - as best player in french league, and since kagawa was a crtical member of BVB's double-winning squad, and bundesliga > ligue 1 (performances, number of places for them in the CL proves this) then should kagawa not get more, if Kagawa was in chelsea he would be at least 86 if Jones, welbeck and smalling were in chelsea they would be above 80 - fact they also seemed to have a gripe with mexico in 12 (based off ratings) Liverpool are usually over-rated, and fulham and everton get the short end of the stick and are vastly under-rated, Fulham with regards to AI, Fulham always seem easier than they should be and Everton due more to ratings, jagielka, Fellaini etc. David Luiz is a right c*nt on FIFA (if he is against you) scres all the time, and I have got very rare ref gaffes like this, what difficulty? world lass? legendary? cos on legendary chelsea are right bastards for long range goals (particularly free kicks) Edited October 1, 2012 by NateShaw92 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's a game that, despite ea's statenents, has scripting in the game - this is necessary to make any game work. 'Ai' is nothing but lines of code, thus scripts. Certain scenarios call for certain animation or what have you In this case the only way ea (or konami) can simulate increased difficulty is to tighten up the scripting. Having the ball control improve, player speed or abilities rise (Club players may have experienced this - 90 speed pros will be beaten to the ball by 60 speed so defenders...) I've noticed this in games agains big clubs too - the game feels against you. This is just they way games work - neither the 360 nor the ps3 can support TRUE ai. It has to be simulated. It sucks as FIFA sometimes cheats - but that's a product of the system as opposed to deliberate programming Oh and shevchenko rated 88overall? Not far off IMO Maybe 87 but he was quality until Chelsea f*cked him over The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Chelsea should never have signed him. The style of football they played was different and he struggled to fit in, not that he was given much chance There was a few moments of brilliance, I remember these well as they re-awoke the passion that I hadn't felt for Chelsea since the days of jimmy floyd hasselbaink and eider gudjohnson (an epic partnership) One moment had him pounce on a pass between two defenders - wasn a bad pass but a pass to wouldn't do if you had the likes of him nearby. He scored. Another was a turn done masterfully, which he did a lot My favourite though - the moment where I though we were introduced to the real shevchenko, was against Tottenham. He picked the ball up half into spurs half and went down the right, cut in and curled into the far post. (See below) The thing is, with the right support/style of play, he would have shot to greatness that season, and perhaps would finish his career there (like many believed). So yes, I think 86-88 rsting is justified. If you took say robin van persie from arsenal last year and placed him in a team who was unable to make use of him, would that make him a lesser player? No - same with Fifa IMO. If Chelsea didn't have the sort of standoff between Abramovic and Mourinho, we wouldn't be having this conversation (either hed be a leading scorer or would have stayed at Milan). Ultimately, if he stayed at Milan, he would have warranted the 88 rating. Perhaps FIFA should have dropped it by one point to reflect the run of form he had, though form and overall rating is different Incidently I creating him for FIFA 12 via CC. I took his stats from PES, using an editing forum. His overall in FIFA, iirc, was 87. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Mr Rabbit Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) PES are silly, they live in the past, i remember once they had Inzaghi still ahving 80-odd speed, a recent game, Inzaghi does not have that pace anymore, PES stats older players closer to what they were in their prime rather than current, Giggs is a f*cking beast on my last PES (2010 or 11), still like a young lad at times, and berbasloth (my nickname for berbatov). they (FIFA) dropped berba in ratings, despite it being the exact same situation as you describe, a few great moments, and being a good player who was in a team that could not utilise him he dropped from 86 to 82, so should he not have been dropped as well? should he have stayed at 86 or gone down to 85-84 (to reflect bad form)? since you think Shevvy should have stayed at 86-88 I don't think a few great moments justify 88 ovrs, being a very good player with consistent performances all season long justify that, it would e like giving nani 88, it would be like basing rooney's 90 on that goal against city, i still don't know where 90 came from, in a season where he was average mostly, just good at the end, but after a scorching season (34 goals) it is down 1 to 89 (marginal difference but still) he should have stayed at Milan, moving leagues past 30 is not a great move, and down by more like 3 or 4, like with berbatov How about the others: Torres was over-rated like mad last year, and alex, essien (I think he is great but not as good as they think), Kalou, Luiz 9as he is not a defender, his OVR as a CB should be like 78, but OVR as say a mid in the 80s) oh that reminds me have they made it so OVRs change when you change position, like say if Rooney is 89 at striker, will he go to like 86 at winger? In the past I have edged wins with united like 3-0, 3-1, 4-2, but then played as Arsenal, City, Juventus (in 12) and won like 9-1 against good good teams. Yeah what can i say EA got it right this time in my opinion apart from the obvious bugs and that which need fixed. One thing i do want to know is do the licences for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Euro competition run out next year?
