PC does not suit FIFA, suits football manager perfectly though.

 

I think I will do the player career more this year (again) as international call ups and hopefully a fix to the table bug and also a fix for player AI (where you only get 40% of possession in be a pro no matter the teams invilved cos the opposition dick around with the ball doing f*ck all on the half way line) will make it more fun, perhaps even on a par with be a legent in PES 2010 gameplay-wise, but with better dribbling and control mechanics, better shot mechanics, proper kits and with the added bonus of lower league teams as I love starting in the championship or lower (will start with huddersfield town as always, win the premiership with em that kind of sh*t and probably get transfered to barca again)

one issue with mine - no drama. would always win I would win the PL in the 2nd season with huddersfield that is a guarantee, or your money back, and I bet that this guy does not win the prem in his first season in it.

I had a similar player in 12 to this player mentioned in the vid. levan mchedlidze - rated really low, never raised much but was a beast for me in Man United.

fifa 09's player growth with the xp thing really got f*cked with me, got too many points, something happened and I ended up with enough points on all my players to make them 90-odd ovr, I was a beast with carrick and fletcher who got rated 95 and 92 respectively, and for some I had enough points to set every single atttribute to 99 - rooney for example and ronaldo got this bug. and still had like a lot of points to spare

 

needless to say I won every game with that team, before and after the thing i have not failed to win a career mode game in... ooh since ps3 came out. last game i drew was on fifa 07 and I have never lost a career mode game.

 

True story (barring simulated games of course, which I do when my player does not play or I can't be arsed to play against fulham, or yeovil)

yes it does get boring, I even do it as huffersfield, beat united 6-1 and I was a player, no major revamp of the squad just my 79 OVRed VP (at the tiem he was 79 rated) still jordan rhodes, stilll joey gudjhonsson (1st half), still anton robinson, still danny ward (for the first half of the season), still lee novak. all changes were defensive except for one winger and no major signing, major for hudds maybe but no premiership players, i'm just too good I suppose

Out of interest what difficulty do you play on Nate? If you say legendary or world class I'll be inclined to call BS, no offence . And you play on PS3 right?

*cringes* you may not like my answer, and none taken, I still don't believe it, I seem to have a fair few lucky escapes, especially with this handbal crap now

difficulty - differs, I usualy start any fifa game on professional, until I get a feel for the changes (admitedly they are usually minimal and take about 20 games to get the hang of at most) and usually every iteration of fifa is preceeded by about a 2 month absense from the game so this period is used to get back, also play on professional for a few games after every absense if i feel the need (not the case anymore, except extended absenses was in 08 and 09 not now and not with career mode)

 

then I go into World Class, and have occassional games on Legendary when the mood strikes not often because in fifa 07 I played on legendary from unlocking is, won 198 out of 200 games on that difficulty (rough estimation, I know i only drew 2 and I know I played way more than 100) and was annoyed that attacking did not seem any more difficult, was still getting 6 goals all the time, but defending became silly, my 90-odd rated keeper would never make a save, so i always got like 6-3, 7-4 against decent teams like Chelsea, Arsenal etc. Hence why i don't go back often to legendary, maybe I should.

 

problem is those friend records show like 300 games won in pro and only like 20 in world class, but they don't seem to count my wins in career mode and tournament mode, i discovered that to update the count to what it should be you need to play an exhibition match of the intended difficulty, soemthing I don't do often, I usually play with a purpose. So my counts are way out of date with regards to world class - I mention it cos i see mr DneroJohnson here and he has my psn

 

Since you said you would doubt my truthfulness if I said world class and/or legendary I'll tell you what stuart, I can't show you past fifa data for various reasons,

08 09 and 10 cos I deleted them to make space and any residual data will be on my dead console that ylod'ed

07 - lost that ps2 memory card, which rustles my jimmies as that was a good team and I had like 500 games on that (that were counted, I had autosave profile off for ages so my manager mode results did nto go in my profile so really I maybe played 750 games for that iteration, at least, very conservative estimate)

06 - I only played semi pro on that being my first fifa game

05 and earlier - did not play - well i might have played 94 on the NES

 

and both fifa 11 and 12's stats begin and end at games played, win% and goals scored (which can't even display 4 figures, when you break 1000 it just says 1 or 2 (if you got to 2000)) and the counts are out of date and innacurate when updated (in my experience) so, we will see if this holds in fifa 13 - odds are it will.

 

what should be my first game?

 

PS - I have a rough feeling where this is going, wither that or I am sat on a brillo pad

As a regular FIFA player for nearly six years (and an avid FUT addict since its creation), I can safely say this looks like an utter waste of money. The changes between releases just get smaller and less significant every year. Its still FIFA 10.6.

 

I doubt I'll be buying it this time around, hopefully EA will adopt an appropriate mentality for '14, rather than just polishing the turd.
