Also this girl I was seeing told me yesterday not to come over. She jokingly said she's stupid today. I said 'what?' and she replied via email, my period is here. I can't control my emotions, lol. I laughed. It doesn't bother me. Sure a lot of us have dipped the stick in red sea. I know, it sounds gross but it's more common than you think and there's ways around it. Anyway, this topic might get locked. Not the nicest of subjects, so lets stick strictly to the question. Don't bother replying if you have no experience in these matters and your trying to be funny. But if she says it just to let people know, then that's just odd. It's funny that you mention "gettin' a bit o' blood on your sword". I thought it was something that was left to the German porn industry but all of my previous girlfriends have never had a problem with it, some of them even enjoying sex more as it can help relieve the pain. It struck me as odd at first but the way I look at it is, everyone wins. I get sex, she gets sex and pain relief. As long as everything is done neatly, there's nothing to fear. I think a female friend telling you that they are on their period actually shows that they trust you to some extent and obviously want you to understand in advance if they are irrational towards you. Either that or they are one of those people that have no dignity and go around telling everyone, just 'cause. I'm not really bothered by them telling me; it's better than them being moody towards you and avoiding you for a week without giving you any sort of reason. That's why I prefer white sheets, actually. The "no sex on a period" has no issue with me, as I am a frequent flyer of the red wing. Honestly though, it doesn't bother me at all. I guess people get grossed out by it, but it's a basic human function, like sh*tting, and is often kept to oneself. It's actually way less unclean as sh*tting considering the fact that one's human waste and the other is expended body tissue - I think it's just as taboo because of our repressed society and it involving "private lady parts". I don't go around talking about it though, its not something worth mentioning really. I find it funny when I've gone to the local store to pick up some tampons though and when some guys see me just buying them along with milk/bread they get a little embarrassed.
