ZZCOOL
it is about 2 weeks left for max payne 3 to release and already have they announced dlcs including a "rockstar pass" which will give you discounts on ALL upcomming dlcs which means there will be SEVERAL dlcs for this game this makes me very sad as then rumors are true rockstar games will focuse on smaller dlcs which means they will most likely do the same with gta 5 and that really makes me sad eflc was the best dlc i have ever bought well wourth the money selling weapon packs and small things for 10$ each would make me sad this rockstar pass reminds me of a less torture version of call of duty elite and thats still a very bad thing what does anyone else think will they follow the same example on gta 5? Chickenwing
That MP3 dlc is bullsh*t... So we only get a demo of the multiplayer when we buy the game?
Knife
I think it'll be like Red Dead Redemption (but a bit more stuff). At least one proper sized DLC and a bunch of other stuff.
Triple Vacuum Seal
If it's true we'll get more smaller DLCs for GTA, I don't see this as a bad thing for V because I doubt R* will once again release a GTA excluding features only to reintroduce them as new ones in DLCs as they did with IV. IF they do DLC, it will be for real this time. GTAV seems like it's the real deal. It seems like R* is saying, "IV, it was an amazing game; but now we're going to show you what we can really do." GTAknowledge
DLC should ONLY be another separate storyline with different characters. Mafia 2 was a failure because they took features which were meant to be in the original game and tried to make extra money by trying to sell it through DLC. In the end the original game was not great and so they ended up failing with both the original and the DLC. All features should be in the original game. We shouldnt have to pay extra for stuff that is expected in the original. I will only buy DLC if the original game is 10/10. _SMOKEY_
They might make small dlc's, like car packs, guns, etc. but they said they won't be making anything as big as BoGT for GTA V

EFLC was pretty good, but it would've been better with a less intertwined story line. Maybe intertwining characters, but please not three stories about those damned diamonds again. The DLC could even be totally separate from the original, just as long as it doesn't waste resources that could be used on the GTA after V. It's early to be thinking this way, but we're going to wish some of R* was thinking this way 6-7 years from now when we're waiting on GTAVI or whatever. Wu Kenny Lee
They might make small dlc's, like car packs, guns, etc. but they said they won't be making anything as big as BoGT for GTA V Uhm, when did they say that? The last big DLC they did was Undead Nightmare, which even got it's own disk release. Anyways, I guess they will make several tiny DLCs for the multiplayer like the Legends and Killers one for Red Dead Redemption and one or two bigger DLCs like the Episodes of Liberty city which expand the singleplayer story. Sunrise Driver
Permission to swear and butthurt.... ....thanks. THIS IS F**KING RETARDED BULLF**K. Multiplayer is f**king butchered to pieces. They aren't adding anything new, they are for sure cutting it from the game. If they do this for GTA V then it'll be f**king disaster and I'll be very mad. Unlike MP3, I care a lot about GTA V MP and want it intact and full on release day. So we only get a demo of the multiplayer when we buy the game? Exactly my thoughts. That's why it's only 0.5 disks on X360. P.S. Yes it's GTA V i'm worrying about. If we had guarantees that GTA 5 would be like GTA 4 and MCLA, not like MP3, RDR, LAN, then I wouldn't give a damn about Max Gayne 3 DLCs. Game is about singleplayer and Max story anyway, not about BOPE-gangsters fights in MP. Edited May 1, 2012 by Street Mix

Isuck100%
I was surprised today to read about the Max Payne 3 DLC. To me, it seems very un-Rockstar-like to announce DLC for a game that has not even launched yet. And for the DLC to release only one month after the game releases I do not like. acmilano
Well Rockstar is just doing what all other developers and publishers are doing already.Luckily it is Max not GTA where they trying this experiment so if reaction on MP3 be vocal, then some things could be fixed for GTA V.Also so far Rockstar was fair with fans and all games on this generation get Complete editions,so if you are little patient you could wait for such editions for MP3 and GTA V. BS on this being the case. R* even said they will be talking about GTAV in "a few months time" back in mid February. ...as for all of the mid-2013 theorists who believe so because they are afraid of getting their hearts broken again with a delay. Investors recorded on TTWO's earnings calls are 100% anticipating a GTAV release in FY2013 which ends in March of next year, the fate of TTWO's shares rely on it. reform
DLC is a cancerous defilement within the whole industry. It's not going anywhere, and it can only get worse. R*'s original DLC path was brilliant. It was great value and honest. It looks like they're going the same putrid way as all the other major studios though... In theory it could be stopped by wide-spread boycotting, but people just don't know what's best for themselves, and will willingly buy into this type of convalescence. I expect the first GTA V news somewhere in June. And I agree with the last sentence. I don't really care about the multiplayer anyways.

With the economic situation and cheaper indi games(Angry Birds etc) it is not impossible. My friend already dont believe how much i pay for a just regular games and i never preorder anything. Just let enough people ignore that crap and industry will have to come to their senses. Even parents will stop buying overpriced map packs for COD for their little angels when they realise how much money they throwing out of the window for what...virtual guns? That's different though, because GTA IV was first announced at Microsoft's E3 conference so they coulk talk about their special partnership with Rockstar for the DLC. After that, they never really spoke about it again and they did not even reveal the title of the first DLC episode until 7 months after GTA IV's release, whereas here they are already telling us the names of the DLC packs that are set to release so soon.
