Mister Pink
Hopefully people will post their favourite films that give you that lovely warm feeling when you reminisce about them or see them. Hopefully, some of you might see a film you forgot about about. Anyway, I'll begin with a few.. The first... The Flight of The Navigator (1986). This film had cutting-edge special effects and all that chrome inside the ship was just magical looking to me as a kid. Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971) was something I watched every year with my mother and brother. I loved it. It's still enjoyable to this day. Gene Wilders performance is spectacular. The Lost Boys (1987).. I watched this when I was too young. My bro had it recorded on tape and I used to get scared during the scene when the rice turns to maggots. My first time hearing People Are Strange performed by Echo & The Bunnymen, because a huge Doors fan later in life. lol Terminator 2 (1991)... I watched this film, again when I was probably too young. I remember it just got released on tape. I was about 7 when it came out. I remember watching it after school and being blown away by the special effects during the Judgement Day scene. Great adventure film. Classic, I watched this everytime with my bro and mother as a kid. There's loads more but I want to see what you guys post. AlexGTAGamer
I remember watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit a lot in my childhood years, along with a lot of disaster movies. To name a few: - Independence Day - Twister - Godzilla - Deep Impact - Armageddon - The Core - The Day After Tomorrow (later on)
A J
Remember The NeverEnding Story?http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088323/ I used to love that film when I was a kid. Same here, I can't remember it much, except a giant flying dog and a boy that looked like a girl. Here's a few of my own Karate Kid - Used to love these movies. Remember after watching them, always practising the kick that wins the final fight. Strangely I also liked the movie Labyrith, think I was in love with the young Jeniffer Connolly. Already mentioned, but I too enjoyed Terminator 2 and The Goonies as a kid. Lastly the original Robocop movies! Was way too young, but I remember it vividly. Yes, I still haven't seen it all. I remember arriving late to a friends house when I was young but they were near the end and I couldn't get in to the story. @Alex: I remember I fell asleep during Twister in the cinema. I had a sleep-over in my friends when I was about 12 and didn't sleep much cause I had a sh*t place to sleep. Fell asleep in the cinema the next day. lol @ajb: Yes! Labyrinth! That was another I watched again and again. Brilliiant!! Jennifer Connolly is foxy. I love her look. Oh and Jennifer Connolly in 'The Rocketeer' but she had to go and get a breast REDUCTION surgery wtf?!? No Image Available

On topic but these will probably only apply to myself. The Blues Brothers - What an epic movie. Original Batman - loved this movie as a kid growing up, watched it over and over again, the music, the car , just the whole movie to me was awesome. KilnerLUFC
This was my childhood film, and probably the main one that I remember from my childhood. The film had such a dark theme to it all, but was such a brilliant film, and one that I'd even watch today, just for the nostalgia. Another one that I watched over, and over, and over...Brilliant film. f*ck you lot with your 'adult' films.
darthYENIK
I remember watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit a lot in my childhood years... That was definitely on the top of my list when I saw this topic title. First off, it's cartoons interacting with live action actors, that's one part of the magic. The other big part of the magic of this movie as a kid was simple. Disney characters, and Warner Bros. characters on the same screen at the same time. This shot when you see Donald Duck AND Daffy Duck on the same stage using dueling pianos, it was amazing... And of course this...
Andyzoot
Speaking of live action meeting animation... Awww yeah! Of course I watch it now and just see a terrible film.

I absolutely love that cartoon. I must have seen it a 100 times. Western were always my favorite genre and as a kid who likes cartoons and westerns this was of course one of my favorite animated films. It still is. But I haven't seen in in years. The laaaaaaaaaazy eye! And of course, who can forget the even older ones from the 70's like Pete's Dragon: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076538/ Edited May 2, 2012 by GTAvanja

I won a poster and ballon. The poster was one of those really long slender ones. I had it on my wall for years. I never watched the film other than the time I saw it in the cinema so I don't remember any of it. I just remember Fievel outfit. Wow the trailer looks. Cool. Think I'm going to watch. Smoke a doob. EDIT: After reading Pandazoot's post, what films did you think were great as a kid and when you watch them today, they're still brilliant, well maybe aside from the nostalgia. And what ones did you find it hard to watch? I had Police Academy on tape recorded off the TV. I wrecked my parents heads with it. I was of the age where you could watch something again and again and again...When I watched the Police academy films about a year or two ago, I realised the films are pretty sh*tty. It's kinda funny because as a little nipper of a kid I found it hilarious and could follow the whole story. Where as other films I'd watch it and enjoy it but probably didn't fully realise the story. I think Police academy was aimed at an older audience as there's that boobies scene where Mahoney drinks booze and watches the girls shower. I mean it's OK but you'd wanna be a half-with to find it laugh-out-loud funny. OK, probably going too harsh on it. Not the first one but the ones after. Girish
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Harry Potter or LoTR yet. I was a huge Terminator 2 fan. The first time I got to watch the movie on TV and I had to attend a class just when the movie was nearing the end. I coaxed my mom to watch the movie so that she could tell me later on how it ended. Of course, I watched it countless number of times after that. Movies like Batman, Hot Shots, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? were pretty dope too. Creed Bratton
I was a huge Terminator 2 fan. I still remember the first time I watched Terminator. I was 7 years old. I was asleep at 9pm like all the good little kids after they spend an entire day outside doing whatever kids do. And then my mom entered the room to wake me up to tell me that there is a robot movie on TV. I was heavily into robots. I still am (proud of it too). That night they showed Terminator 1. The next night was same thing, only it was Terminator 2. I was very excited because I liked the first one. But also worried because the first one was a bit scary. I absolutely loved T2. It is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It is also THE BEST action movie of all time. First time I watched it I cried at the end. Sup3rman
I'm glad the 89' Batman movie has been said many times allready. I would add the 92' one too. That one scared me even, the penguin was terrifying. DeVito made a great job. I also would point out at the magic end, Page master and maybe even the other great superhero movie, Superman from 1972. A J
Lol Nice signature Pandazoot - Space Jam - good call! To go back to an earlier statement, about loving movies as a kid and then as an adult realising they were utter crap, yeah no doubt Police Academy goes high on that list. I think you could also add - Ace Ventura movies too, god I used to laugh my ass off at them as a kid, now I probably couldn't bare to sit through them. Batman 1992 with Penguin and the weird Christopher Walken character didn't do it for me, it was too Tim Burton gothic for my liking.
Tsar_Smirnoff
I'd say the one movie from my childhood that immediately brings back intense nostalgic memories of the time period that I saw it would have to be "The Sandlot" (1993). I was 5 years old at the time, and enrolled at a daycare, so we used to watch the movie quite a bit. I remember all of my friends used to think it was badass when the character Yeah Yeah said "crappy" lol.
Sup3rman
Ah yes, Sandlot...i love that movie. It was also that film that was like the ultimate kids place. Playing baseball, driving around with bikes and fooling around. They had this nice treehouse also...and then the dog
Toke
I was totally into dinosaurs when I was young thus The Land Before Time was one of my favorite movies for a long time. Hell I think I still have a VHS copy of it somewhere. Also was massively into He Man and had my older brother take me to see Masters of the Universe on opening day. And lets not even get into how much I was a TMNT fanboy. Saw this opening week with my....mom.

Tsar_Smirnoff
@Trip: I have to say, the original "Star Wars" would have been one of the coolest childhood movies one could grow up with. I know a lot of people despise "The Phantom Menace", but for me, it's another one of those movies that brings back floods of nostalgia; especially all of the marketing products they brought out, like the collectible Pepsi and Mountain Dew cans. Looking back, if it hadn't been for those sub-par prequel movies, I would have never even thought to check out the original trilogy, which have now become among my favorite movies of all time. Otter
Wow, those old Disney trailers really have me tripping down memory lane! They used to play those weird, extended trailers ahead of the features they put out on those old puffy vhs tapes. Oh man, memories. Let me preface this by saying...sorry. I went a little crazy. These all have a soft spot in my heart. This one probably goes without saying. ....holy sh*t I could keep going! Let me cut myself off here with a treat. YES!!!!!
