73duster
I'd like to explore or be able to roam around the inside of a train, or large jumbo jet. There should be passengers, and they should react to what you are doing. I'd love to be able to switch on the auto pilot, leave the cockpit, and start shooting passengers in mid flight. If you shoot out a window, there should be a sudden cabin depressurization. You could grab an oxygen mask and watch people turn blue and go unconscious. If you were on a 777 or airbus, there would be several levels, including access to the landing gear and cargo area. Trains should also be accessible, including dining and sleeping cars. Large yachts and cruise ships with full interiors could also add to the large scope of the environment. This is what would give GTA that living, breathing open world exploration that makes players want to take the time to take in all of the little things. 73duster
Can someone explain to me why people are less freaked out about this idea than the zombie one? It's a freaking apocalypse DLC, that makes literally no sense to me, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with GTA. This is weird huh?

universetwisters
Maybe not real trains, but perhaps some kind of metro. After all, i wouldnt want to wander around aimlessley, looking at everything when i know the train is going to run into a wall soon

Mokrie Dela
I agree. In trains i would to be able to get up and wander around, but when i sit down i don't want the cinimatic camera to come on. I want to have control over that. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry

73duster
777's and Airbuses are huge, and we should be able to roam around without feeling confined to an exterior view. I think cruiseships have a ton to offer, considering they are virtually mini cities in their own right. You could actually get lost on a cruise ship. I could live with the camera trick in V, but i'd like to also be able to get up and wander around. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. ryan_J
I doubt that is possible on current gen consoles.. Next-gen maybe? The plane idea might be slightly far fetched (Though still possible), but interiors of trains are entirely possible on current gen consoles! azali10
I don't think people here are going to appreciate the idea of shooting up a plane. That might cause some issues for Rockstar. Roaming is fine, guns roaming on a train is fine (train robbery and all that), but on a jumbo jet, i'm just not so sure.
HOAXi
I love the train mod and first person mod for IV. When playing and eating some food at the same time, why not sightseeing NY. What was missing obviously, was other passengers. In-car/train/plane view should've been implemented a long time ago, better now then never. Driving semi's, buses or any vehicle for that matter, in in-car would've made GTA step into a new generation.

What's the difference between shooting passengers in a train and shooting passengers in a plane? Besides being able to crash planes into buildings, which can be done with or without opening the passenger interior for roam anyway. OT: If they can do it in trains in RDR, why not GTA V? Opens a lot more free roam space, and endless mission possibilities too (shoot outs in long haul trains, passenger jets, or assassinate some mob boss in his private yacht). MrcTOtheJ
I'd love it especially for trains, I can't count the amount of times in RDR, where I put on my Bandana, and jumped from my horse onto the train and snuck up from the caboose walking on the roof, to get to the passenger cars and engine, just to have a good old fashioned Stick up and shoot 'em up. Imagine getting on the subway or what not, and the mugging someone at knife point or something, it’d be a neat little thing to do now and then. blowtorchrepair
one thing that irked me in IV was that there were limos everywhere but I could not hire one. being able to pick up whores and bang them in the limo would have been fitting. and while riding inside of a limo the TV should work. also, we should be able to move around and have an inside view. this should work in free mode as well. 73duster
I don't know why some people think it is beyond the capabilities of current gen consoles to have a fully explorable jumbo jet interior. That is ridiculous. It should'nt be any different than any other interior environment. Furthermore, i do remember seeing games where there were things like i mentioned, except not as sophisticated. There was a Rainbow Six game from over 13 years ago which i can recall a mission where you had to infiltrate a Boeing 747 on the tarmac that was hijacked by terrorists. I'm not an expert on the capabilities of the PS3 or Xbox 360, but it seems to me that this stuff would hardly represent any real challenge. These are some of the things which have surprisingly been forgotten with most of today's games. It's like the innovative things that existed before, where you seemed to have more interactivity with the finer details of a game, have been pushed aside in favor of over the top gunfighting and John Woo type scenarios. Yeah, like geting a taxi, only, better, more driver commands, in the fact you would be able to tell them to stop and wait for you, they'd actually get out and open your door, like most Chuffers do, it'd be awesome, especially if at the end of V, we control criminal operations of LS. Pretty fitting if you ask me. What irked me in GTAIV was not being able to roam around the subways. Also I agree with you 73duster, while I am also no expert on this, there are plenty of games that have done similar things, and I think it's well within the limits for this gen of consoles. A320
It would be nice to have some interiors for trains. Not sure how buses would work because you can actually drive it, same goes for a jet (if we can fly it that is).
Dingdongs
I don't know about doubting this will happen. I think there's a good chance public transportation will be more accessible in GTA V. It's just one of those things that tends to evolve game after game.
