cj693699
I don't mean to sound ignorant... but I was wondering will GTA V be like SA. By You know featuring more than one city. I really think it'd be awesome in like Free Mode with your friends, get 6 stars and drive through the desert or on the high way to another city. But any I was just wondering lol. Fraizer
No one knows for sure at this point. But this has been discussed more times than I can count.
ShadyLizard
I say we wont know til we hear it word for word that we wont or until we play the game. Probably not. cj693699
Alright thanks, I just found this Forum so I was just wondering.
MrcTOtheJ
From what Rockstar has said it's Los Santos and the surrounding country side. Whether they where just saying what we saw in the trailer, or if that's all that's going to be in the game, as been up for debate. Personally I think it's only going to be LS and the surrounding Deserts, and some forest. But who really knows. I guess we'll have to wait untill the next trailer or group of info to know for sure, but for now it just stands at LS and country side.

MIKON8ERISBACK
Again. They specifically said it's the city itself, the surrounding hills (mountains), countryside (most likely including desert), and beaches. If were lucky we'll see some small towns or villages that play minor roles in the storyline. At least until they can contemplate what to do with DLC and the remainder of the console generation, don't count on any additional major cities appearing in the game. The forum leaders need to start pinning central threads devoted to these topics to at least attempt to clarify the facts with the new comers. However, please don't be so harsh on them. MrcTOtheJ
Yeah I can see small towns happening, I mean why have country side if it's just going to be empty, the occasional small town should appear to break it up, and so there's a reason to have it there besides cruseing. Magic_Al
The announcement doesn't refute multiple cities so long as they belong in a reimagined Southern California, which means don't expect stuff from the top half of the GTA SA map. An expanded Los Santos area may have multiple municipalities. I'm hopeful the presence of planes means there's more than one airfield, and some kind of town with each airfield, so using planes for transportation makes sense besides just flying around for fun. Racecarlock
Again, are you ABSOLUTELY sure that los santos won't be big enough?
Triple Vacuum Seal
Can we stop making the same topic 100 times over. That way we won't bury the good arguments made for either side in the index. FFS. "shut up, sit down, relax"

Yeah kinda like LC had Alderny city which wasn't part of LC technically but it might as well have been. I'd also like to see some of the smaller towns geting an air field too, that way it wouldn't just seem like planes are just there for players to have fun with, but actually serve a purpose in the game world. About The Vid Racecarlock posted: Yeah Los Santos in and of it's self will be adequate, the map will be huge even if they put in 30% percent of the LA area, not to mention they said something about hills and countryside, I don't see why people want a nether major city, I can see small towns, and maybe a small Alderny sized city on the opposite end of the map, but nothing major wise. (And a city the size of Alderny is most likely not going to happen.)
Neo Arcadia
At this point, I honestly don't know what to think. Sure they made that statement about the setting, but it's become very apparent they don't want to reveal a damn thing about the game beyond what was shown in the trailer. Dan Houser's joke about how they'd drag him through the office and whip him with barbwire if he says anything other than "Los Santos and the surrounding countryside" when asked about V returning to San Andreas makes me extremely suspicious. Again, are you ABSOLUTELY sure that los santos won't be big enough? Diminishing returns... There's only so much that can be done with one city. In my opinion, a few medium-sized cities with their own distinct atmospheres will always be better than a single bloated city with many useless areas and neighborhoods that only serve to waste space. Raptomex
I really can't wait until Max Payne 3 comes out. Then we can finally start getting some hopefully real news on GTA V. After Max Payne 3...it begins. Hopefully all of our questions will be answered soon. The one trailer just taunts us.
skillz7855
Dan Houser never really gave out any information he only said stuff from the trailer and expect a big map.
