WhiteArcticFox
Some sort of a code that scales pictures down to a certain size when they exceed a certain site, this can be seen used on various of other websites and forums, it's quite handy especially when a thread is very image heavy and you don't need to scroll down or sideway to see the picture. Another thing this site also could benefit from, a "like" system, where you can like a post to indicate that you appreciate it, agree with it or just like it, then the poster of that post / thread gets an indication that someone has liked his post, this has also been seen used on other forums and the forum benefits greatly from it because you can tell if someone likes the post or thread so you can tell if it's worth reading or not. Both of these things can be seen on this thread in another forum http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlef...-photoshop.html
Vanzant
As far as pictures goes, we don't have a large problem with it. As for the like system, we tried that and it was a failure. We're not bringing that back since it was abused.
Icarus
The first suggestion isn't actually a bad idea, since there are a few times someone will post a picture that will stretch the page a mile. Granted, those instances are rare. As for the second suggestion, we had something like that back in the day and it was abused pretty fast; the suggestion has been brought up a few times recently, but it gets the same response: no. [EDIT] Beaten by Vanzant.
KilnerLUFC
There's a tool for this forum that actually does the resizing of images automatically if they exceed certain measurements. Check this topic out for information on this add-on. I will warn you though, it can be slightly annoying in rare occasions. For example, a certain gang on this forum have their front page set out neatly, and so that the images are all in line etc, but having this add-on f*cks that up. It also made reading the Newsletter really annoying.
