Triple Penetration Posted April 29, 2012 Share Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Just right after S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was (actually in the same time) announced to be dead, Survarium came into our internets. Survarium is a F2P Massive Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter, which is set in near future. The game's world is our own Earth in a post-apocalyptic state, caused by natural disasters of unknown origin. Cities are surrounded by forest with thick unpassable bushes and other vegetation, mad animals and birds are attacking factories, military camps, warehouses and power stations. Strange plants and ferns are growing through the concrete and steel. Scientists from around the world are trying to cope with the anomalies, occupating the Earth in mindbreaking speed. Government is in the state of decay and the whole world is overtaken by anarchy. Now it's the strength being the one to decide who survives, not the mind. The game is being made on the new Vostok Engine and is planned to come out on PC platform at the end of 2013. The fact it's going to be free is making me think this could be a sh*t game, but I'm hoping not. Just going to have to wait for the first details to emerge before giving any real comment on it. Triple Penetration Posted July 9, 2012 Author Share Posted July 9, 2012 (edited) Finally some screens of this Free2Play game. 1 2 3 4 Those screens are said to not represent the end build of the game (it already looks good though) and are showing only the alpha build. The 2nd Developer Diary has come out, you can watch it here: Basically, it tells how all this apocalypse stuff started (it's not generally connected to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., only basic gameplay concepts have carried on to this game, such as gunplay and anomalies/artifacts) and that there will be 5 skill trees to upgrade your character, such as being a scientist or improving your physical build. Plus there will be some other gamemodes to play, such as artifact hunt for teams, deathmatch and co-op missions. All of this looks like DayZ with atmosphere of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and I'm not complaining, I absolutely love both of these games. Damn, if the game really looks that good, they better deliver on gameplay aspect too, much like Warface does - a free game with a great balance of graphics and gameplay. Just today I found out, that it is going to be a survival open world game later on. I would love a game in that post apocalypse setting. Unfortunately its a F2P Game... Coop with Story and Free Mode with Story will be added later. Free Mode is similar to DayZ (MMOFPS/Survival) except you have missions and stuff and some other differences. I take it you haven't played many F2P games released in recent years then, considering between like 2010 and now the quality has jumped to AAA levels easily. Hell, I can't think of a recently released AAA FPS that even comes close to some F2P games (Planetside 2 kind of blows every other military shooter out of the water). Shame I won't be able to get in on that beta, I'll be a hundred miles away from my computer camping and getting hammered, ah well, priorities.
