Yeah I think Classic Rock is the genre that MrAfro was looking for. (My personal favorite genre of music.)
The__Phoenix
The game will take place in Los Angeles, where country isn't popular. In rural areas it might work though. yes, california is not iowa precisely in musical tastes, they don´t have country music in their preferences, anyways i love country music and i wish to listen a bit of country music in the game. interpolfan11
The idea that there may not be a country radio station is ridiculous. R* makes products for the consumer, and a good portion of the American consumer base likes country music. Thus, a country music station will be in the game. And for the record, I hate country music with the exception of a few select songs that aren't necessarily "traditional" or "mainstream" country. Exactly the reasons I hate new country, what doubly sucks is I live in a small town and everyone is poseing as Rednecks like you said with that. Hell in general those are the reasons I hate 90% of new music lol. (Just Swap pick up trucks with something else depending on the genre)

jdrandall38
I really liked the country music vibe when you were roaming the countryside in GTA SA. I do hope that with Rockstars promise of 'countryside' that they will in turn provide us with a country music station. I'm not a fan of most country music but i do like some of it anyways. Algonquin Assassin
It woudn't feel right having rural communities and not having country music. K-Rose was one of my favourites stations in SA. I like country music and classic rock, but that's probably because I grew up in a mostly rural area.

Gangsta-NL
K-rose was the best radio station in San Andreas in my opinion. Everyone has a different taste in music, so why not provide something of everything? Bring back the country, boy!
TenEightyOne
lol i find it kind of weird that an italian would like American country music though America is the coolest and everyone tries to copy our style That made me laugh - the Country style is an evolution of European folk... and it's not that far removed in many cases. Gaelic music has contributed a great deal to that!
AtomicPunk
Definitely needs to be a country station mixed with classic and new. I like the idea of 'Man Of Constant Sorrow' playing whilst I am in a high-speed chase. There's a lot of rednecks in Cali., Always has been. But all that "inbred" B.S. is stupid and It's a myth. I actually studied this, along with mass amounts of research. It's not accepted in the appalachian culture and never has been. It is a stereo-type invented by the New York buisnessmen and their friends and family, who steal these peoples natural resources(coal, natural gas, forest). The first thing the robber barons do is try and dehumanise that population so nobody cares about what they do to these people. Anyways, I'd like to see something like satellite radio where there is a big choice of all music. Especially 80's 'hair' metal. GTA IV's music was the lamest I've ever heard. And country music came from Ireland. When Jamestown, Va. was settled in 1708, alot of those immigrants made their way to the appalachian mountains in W.va. and bluegrass was the start of a lot of music like country and blues. I know that it's told that blues came from the black culture in the south but the south was all born in the appalachian mountains and spread out from there. In the south at the time was french quarter. It's Irish/German/Native American/Deutch in appalachias. But that's not what you'll read in school books. Snake Without a Tongue
I'm not a big fan of country in general, but that corny 70's-80's honky tonkin' music sounds great while driving. Whether in real life or a video game. Old timey, blues, blue grass is good in general, though. I was going to post Dock Boggs' "Sugar Baby" here but YouTube pulled all the original 1927 versions. It's Irish/German/Native American in appalachias. But that's not what you'll read in school books. I'd say it's more Irish/Negro. A lot of early bluegrass is just straight up Irish ballads or slave songs, eg Butcher Boy and Midnight Special. esparado87
I don't like country music so much, but it should be a radio station for people who enjoy country. Something for everyone you know... Also, this game takes place in calefornia with wild land around citys (pretty much the same as SA) so it fits the atmosphere. Why wasn't there country radio in GTA 4??? Because it dosn't fit with the atmosphere in Liberty City. Edited April 29, 2012 by esparado87

Sneakerhead.
Yes. Even though I don't really listen to country music at all, I believe that R* should include just for the sake of realism. (In the trailer, there was a scene in the country side(and desert), so there would have to be country music just for the sake of realism.)
