visionist
So lately I could really use extra funds, and I keep seeing stuff like this: -Click- I'm seriously sceptical of course: surely everybody would be doing this? Ronnyboy
As they always say, it's too good to be true. Don't try and fall for it, get a job or sell stuff. Hell, you'd have a better chance in the stock market then this.
3niX
Well... After visiting the site I dont have a single piece of doubt in my mind... this sh*t is a scam. I do know that you can abuse the advertising system on bloggs and other web related mediums to earn money. But the money youd earn isnt that big... and theres always a risk that youll get caught. SmC12
It's basically spam for money. And it's not worth it, maybe some of them are legitimate but the majority aren't. That's supposed to be a news website right? And when I leave the page they tell me to join now cause this internet money making programme ends tomorrow, yeah right. The stories that report on it are always so obviously manipulated to sound so happy like it's a life-saver. Scam.
K^2
So lately I could really use extra funds, and I keep seeing stuff like this: -Click- I'm seriously sceptical of course: surely everybody would be doing this? I keep seeing them though, and so many people seem to be saying it works... Considering the fact that it's a single page on the entire domain made to look like a news site... Yeah, it's a scam. Rhoda
Having taken all the replies into consideration though, there is money to be made online, but most of the time it's either illegitimate, not worth the effort for what you get, or both. You hear of people that make money from clicking adverts and blog tricks, but frankly, you'd feel much better getting a real job or even making a bit of money on the side buying and selling from eBay. Recently I've been buying out of print CDs and selling them on eBay to make a profit. It isn't much - probably about £10 profit for each one, and it's getting to be a drag going to my local post office so often. Bottom line? I wouldn't recommend it. manofpeace
I got a spam text saying that my "entry" into some Best Buy raffle thing last month won and that I had gotten $1000. Of course, I haven't actually bought anything at Best Buy for a couple months. Just goes to show that they'll go to often revealing lengths to get a few bucks. ska
It's true. I'm a 46 year-old housewife who just made over $200k last month by doing absolutely nothing! INTERNET!
lil weasel
Another hint that the 'news' story is a fake: Try to leave the site. If it's a Tar Baby it won't let you. I used to check them out for the laughs but trying to leave them was so much trouble I stopped even looking. How's that one? Also: Please … When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for “message boards and forums.” so as to not stretch the forum frame. Or just use a link. Wallpaper sized pictures aren’t kind to the forum frame. Edited April 27, 2012 by lil weasel

If they were just given to you, then why didn't the person who just discovered them keep them to themselves?
blitz
I'm pretty sure the only way someone's made quite a lot of money through the internet alone is by creating the Million Dollar Homepage.
lil weasel
One tried and true method of getting rich (it's been done for years) is to offer Job Opportunities. You put in an add that says, "for ten dollars and a #10 self-addressed stamped envelope you will get a listing of available employment." Then when the people send you the envelope and money you send them a photocopy of the want ads from a newspaper, or print out of an employment webpage. Works every decade. Dingdongs
Considering the fact that a few years ago when my grandfather bought a computer, he's lost over 800,000 dollars to these things, I'd imagine they probably don't work And yes, before you ask, we took away the computer. abottig
I did the blogspot thing for two months while I was unemployed. I found an IRC group that had designed javascripts to make it easier. I made about $400 a month. It's just a huge pain in the ass to keep coming up with original content. You're better off waiting tables... Or shoveling sh*t.
