Zee
Yeah right. Highly doubtful R* could manage to sober up enough to have something to show off in time for e3.
gtasadude
He's an analyst, he's not omnipresent. Yeah, he's made incorrect predictions, so what? He's making predictions, why are you mad? He's not stating facts, he's giving his take on GTA V. The difference is this; Michael Pachter knows what he's talking about. He researches what he's talking about, has sound business knowledge, and so on. There's a reason he gets paid to be an analyst. He can offer very good advice to investors and consumers by analysing factual data to make important assesments of the market. Yet you guys complain about him. He's a lot smarter than a bunch of retards speculating about GTA V on GTAForums, that much is a fact. Way to jump on the bandwagon guys
DeeperRed
Sounds like you're reading the wrong forum. Here's enough analyzations, guessing, hoping and wishes for you to kill a man. If you just don't like the dude, fair enough. We can't like everybody. But I don't bite that you hate him because of his lame predictions. Everybody makes lame predictions and hopes. You probably don't like his character and pick on what you can pick on him. That's my prediction. Just look around, it's predictors everywhere. You never predicted anything? Ofcourse you have. Probably some lame once too. Fully agree here however you can treat business and stocks with the same mentality that many analyst do. Video games companies all handle things very differently, and some very inconsistently. Rockstar only make a big fuss when they really need to with GTA. Its a huge name, they can treat it however they want. With Max Payne ans Red dead they needed a constant flow of new information to keep everyone interested as it was new territory for them and they needed to build the hype. GTA doesn't need that and they want the fans checking the site everyday so when the new trailer is realeased it will hopefully create enough traffic to cause some articles about it thus drawing even more attention (not that it needs it but its nice to know your product is insanly popular). And I don't doubt the way they keep it under locks to get everyone to check the website only to find max payne 3 articles but read them anyway because there board and actually see its a pretty f*cking awesome looking game. Triple Vacuum Seal
The info. droughts R*'s fan base experiences compared to the info. drought of other fan bases is pathetic. Yet, I wouldn't be surprised if the drought ends at E3. "shut up, sit down, relax"
skrillarilla
Yes I thought about this too. They never show up to E3 anymore and if you don't remember when GTA IV was coming out in 2007 they came out with the second trailer which was in June. So of course they think they're better than E3 but I wouldn't be surprised if they show up or do not show up I am however positive that we will see the new GTA V Gameinformer in the July Cover or a trailer around June or May.. It has to be. If they want to steal the show that is. They have to do something between May and June. 100% We will see info on MAY AND JUNE YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST what channel is E3 for basic cable ??? LotusRIP
Analysts *sighs* I don't believe a single thing of what those clowns say! according to analysts, the game is meant to be out in May 2012... lol
Slamman
Everyone here is an ANAList, if you ask me! hahaha Michael Pachter probably gets a kick out his name coming up on this very forum, I shall now abstain from typing it further. This: Grand Theft Auto V will be set in Hollywood; use recession-hit LA as a backdrop to critique capitalism, celebrity, social networking, corruption, family and society; be voiced by Charlie Sheen and Megan Fox; launch in late 2012 and, obviously, change games and their relationship with the world forever. ME: I believe Charlie Sheen is nearly a shoe in given his work in ads and availability since Two and Half Men leave of absence, I bet Rockstar rang him up straight away.... Well, after the live road show fiasco and Rockstar from Mars tirade Edited April 28, 2012 by Slamman
Triple Vacuum Seal
Of course some people on these forums have the credibility of a 5 year old, but many have way more credibility than these analyst. Their answers change every week and they have all sorts of games to focus on while most people here are mainly experts on the GTA series compared to your average gamer. saintsrow
ME:I believe Charlie Sheen is nearly a shoe in given his work in ads and availability since Two and Half Men leave of absence, I bet Rockstar rang him up straight away.... Well, after the live road show fiasco and Rockstar from Mars tirade I hope that they could get Charlie to play some off-the-wall character in GTAV; that would be both fun and quite appropriate. I would hope he gets a substantial part, not just a cameo. OT: Thinking about E3, it could be that Rockstar will hold some kind of MP3 event in front of their big MP3 paintings on the Figueroa Hotel (just several blocks north of the LA Convention Center, the location of E3) on the first day of E3 and try to squeeze out another week of MP3 hype, trying to make MP3 the most-talked-about game around E3. If I understand, MP3 for PC will come out 5/29 and so MP3 will still be a fresh subject, that Rockstar could want to sell (and might desparately need to sell). That would sure be a case of Rockstar grinding their heel on us GTAV peeps
fitbikesbmx
If it's at E3, it's a no brainer that it will be the biggest game there. But I fully expect some news before E3 so whether they show it off there or not, there will be a lot of buzz in the air anyway.

Have Charlie play another washed up celebrity and they go around town integrity 2.0 style. @skrillarilla The only channel that I know that dose E3 stuff on my cable at least is Spike TV, and they don't do much, just a press conference or two. If you have G4 they'll most likely be doing something too, but odds are R* won't even be showing up. And you'll be able to catch more of E3 online anyhow, if you want. MrcTOtheJ
Yeah Rockstar hasn't been at E3 in forever, but I can see something if the higher ups at Take Two push them to show something, though I think it's more likely that they'd try to steal the show, which is a theory that people have been flirting with for awhile. As has been said before, Take-Two Interactive does have a booth at E3. If you look at Take Two's website, you will see that GTAV is not even listed, though every other game they have ever published, plus MP3 and Agent, are listed. Hmmm, what could this mean? From all this, I conclude that Take Two will be hyping MP3 and their other acknowledged games, and they will not even show the GTAV logo or even mention the existence of GTAV at E3. I mean, look at what's in the back of the video, so much gaming items to give the viewer an idea that this intelligent man consumes so much gaming items, so why don't you do the same? you would still be in a good state mentally and financially if you did so. look at Pachter! krazy_fool_X
Just because he doesn't know the name of Los Santos doesn't mean he can make predictions based on R*s past behaviour. Yeah I know that's the theory, I was just kinda repeateing it. Heck it's been the theory for longer than this guy has been saying, and it's a sound stratagy, nothing like stealing all of your compeitor's steam while attracting more attention to your product. Worked well for Apple and others in the past, no reason it can't work now. I hope it's what they do, with E3 arround the corner in over a month, that means info will be hear soon. Lynx2069
At or around E3 makes perfect sense. If its not handled before E3, then I'd look at the Console manufacturers press event especially if someone has secured some kind of DLC exclusivity which is likely given the high development cost associated with most R* games. If NOT at E3 or before July 1st then forget a 2012 release.
