ShotGunRain
The first big San Andreas preview was in Game Informer issue of july 2004. Actually it was June's 2004 issue. However, E3 2004 took place in May, the same month that June's 2004 issue of Game Informer released in. Would Rockstar go for this again? all eyes should monitor Game Informer's July 2012 issue. I really hope so we fans really deserve all the information. GameInformer has GTAV on their site i don't if this means anything, but i'll post it anyway. http://www.gameinformer.com/games/grand_th...s3/default.aspx
Jimbatron
My read on those guys is that they like stealing the thunder from everyone else. So my guess is that we’ll hear an announcement the day before E3 so that that’s all everyone will be able to talk about. I like this logic, regardless of the source. I too hope we get some serious GTAV info then, something that is enough of a blockbuster to accomplish this. I have to agree. R* market stuff under their own power. And a lot of it is the subversive viral type. I hope the admin's don't take offense, but that is actually the main impact of this website - whether it is controlled or not with that intent is not the point - it is how it functions in reality. Versous
I do respect Pachter, He knows a lot more about the industry than any gamer that has nothing to do with gaming in real life(buisnesswise).Predicting things is another thing but I can totally see this happening. At the end of may/Early June it'll be 7 months without info and then BAM. This would 100 % overshadow a lot of E3 announcements! Only "big" games like AC 3, Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo exclusives will get a bit of attention by the press. But otherwise the focus will be on GTA V and not on another First person shooter for example. Cole Phelps Gta
Well as far as C.O.D goes it's ''been their done that'' I don't mind the series but when the games so short it's a hire only option theirs really something wrong. I think C.O.D is on it's last legs so gta should smash it in sales I'm not sure what other games are coming out so i can't comment. I do think gta is in with a chance of being the biggest game at e3 we'll have to wait and see
Da Perzinga
I hope there are new infos in may or june. But the weather in Austria is beautiful. So I don't care so much about new information. But I hope may or june...

Snake Without a Tongue
On the same GTTV show, everyone’s favorite analyst Michael Pachter is now predicting that GTA V will be the biggest game of E3… but won’t actually be at E3. Rockstar has outgrown the show. They’re too cool for the show When has a GTA ever been flogged at E3? With the exception of GTAIII. I hate Anal-ists. As I said, Pachter knows more than gamers(you included) ever will about the gaming industry. He has the right to make such predictions. No, he doesn't. Give me one example of accurate speculation that's not in itself painfully obvious.
bluesboyjr
As I said, Pachter knows more than gamers(you included) ever will about the gaming industry. He has the right to make such predictions. I'm sure Pachter is a prodigy when it comes to something like predicting Nintendo's financial plans, but seeing as the guy's made something like five incorrect predictions about GTA V already, I think it's fair to say the odds aren't high on him turning out to be right this time. But hey, a broken clock is right twice a day. If you keep saying "GTA V will be released tomorrow" every day, eventually you'll get it right. Ryder 556
I'm more annoyed by GTTV than ever right now. Didn't they say they would have exclusive trailers next week? They included The Last Of Us(Most plausible) and GTA V in the promo. GTTV need to stop talking about GTA V until they actually get an exclusive scoop. @bluesboyjr: Pachter is an industry analyst. Doesn't matter if he gets it right or wrong. He is payed to predict stuff based off of past trends and current market life.

He is payed to predict stuff based off of past trends and current market life. Well, I can make predictions based on past trends too, and seeing that the trend is that Pachter has been wrong every time he's made a prediction about GTA, the forecast's not looking good. Like I said, I'm sure he's great at sales forecasts and guessing the moves of the big players in the industry, but if there's anything we here at GTAForums should know, it's that Rockstar isn't prone to acting like the rest of the industry. They make most of their business decisions in a dark room by sacrificing a goat or something. Or maybe all their unpredictability comes from all that whiskey. Slamman
Pachter is about as trusted as Wikipedia around here, but I have more faith in Wikipedia then the forum Moderating staff! haha Pachter is an actual fan of the game series so it's not surprising to see him talk about it with some enthusiasm, there's a bit of bias I think he offers in a positive manner
S2580
I've actually thought that R* would do something similar to what Pachter said, but in my mind, I can see them announcing it one of the days during E3, just not at E3, either way, it is a very R* thing to do and it would be pretty funny too. Although i just can't see the October release date happening myself, we can always dream
GamerToons
I am trying to remember when any GTA has debuted at E3. Maybe GTA III? If it has ever happened then I can't remember it. GTA IV tattoo, doesn't count.
Slamman
The DLC last, for Microsoft at the time of GTA IV It DOES count to the above poster, BTW As for announcing it at the time E3 is taking place, that's the same as combating Saints Row with the debut trailer, so yeah, all for that! He knows "stuff about the industry" and that relates to his consistently inaccurate speculation on GTA how?
Kirsty
I respect that Pachter knows a lot about the games industry, he must have some background since he is still high-profile and his name is usually all over E3 and such like. The fact remains though that his predictions about GTA will always be just as speculative as theories in this forum, because Rockstar never do what the industry expects whether it makes sense or not. Durden
I don't really think this is important enough to make a topic about. Plus, I already stated all this about 13 and a half hours ago in the mountain thread. NoneTheLess, I won't be that butthurt guy that gets mad because he alrady said something. Apparently this guy made a bunch of predictions and he was always wrong for all of them. It kinda makes be not trust him, but it is very possible. R* are stuck up bitches, so they will probaly steal E3 with GTAV news right after E3 is finished, so the only thing on gamers' minds is GTAV. Anyhow this guy is no diffrent than us, hell I guessed a October 23rd release date in the prediction topic, maybe they should have me on TV. I can go on there, say hi and then be all like "Yeah E3, Rockstar, yeah steal show, October 23rd. Release?" There we have it we're all analysts. If he keeps repeating his predictions that point to the obvious, of course he's gonna be right eventually. I mean come on, who in the gaming world does not know that GTA V will be the biggest game of the year if it gets a release this year ? Of course it will be huge if they show V at the E3, there is no doubt it will be the biggest game there. This Pachter guy's predictions regarding GTA are a trifle obvious, anyone with an ounce gaming industry knowledge could make them. Just one question, and I'm not trying to be funny or to disrespect you, but are you gay ?

lefantome
ROTFL Analyst are not modern nostradamus. You can't expcet them to be right every time with high accuracy. It's normal that they are wrong, they just try to provide the most probable future scenaries based on their knowledge of the industry and the resto of the world. Pacther has proven to be a good analyst in this industry, if not he would have been jobless. He's doing a serious job which could move money on the scale of millions. Sometimes I don't agree but In the last times I do and I can understand why he says what he says. He's not a special one, he can't enter the R* studios in NYC or Edimburgh to see the game and I he can it's under a NDA. The only thing he can do is using rumors(those are not published on magazines) and his knowledge to make predictions.
