mrblueman33
it seems to me that gtav is going to just a another gta game with the same stuff in it and maybe a new mini game. don't get me wrong i love gta but it just feels like gta games are all the same and nothing new to them, so how dose gta get all this hype ever time a new gta comes out. we hype the hell out of it and then when we play it there really nothing new about ok new characters but not much other then that. Toniblue
You mean despit the fact that each one has it's own unique protagonist an amazing story line and each one is a master piece of its own, then yeah, I guess I can see where your coming from. HOAXi
Stop smoking crack and watch the right trailer. Its a reunion with GTA San Andreas. It's upgraded and will include lots of new things you never seen in SA. Its more modern-days. Don't know what you was expecting, but GTA has a storyline and going back to Los Santos now is probably the best choice. The way you write, it sounds like you don't like gta... nothing wrong with that, but hanging around at gtaforums are maybe not the right place for u. Durden
You are either: 1. Trolling 2. Depressed 3. Getting too old for video games 4. Suffering from the Info Drought, in which case you lose enormous hype in GTAV and start to think it won't be that good. Personally, I am experiencing point #4 at the moment. Edward-Is-A-Flunky45
Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created. A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California. Jeeebuuus
GTA is going to stay the same concept from game to game. If it didn't then they would call it something else. Steal cars, shoot bad guys, explore city. What's not to like?

I agree IV was no masterpiece, and I think that bothers R*. They wont make that mistake again. The expectations of a renewed SA is high, and they know that. Making the game less fun then GTA SA will make people question the company's GTA-future. Yeah we are all getting older, playing fewer games and thinking back at old days, but GTA is one of the games that seems not to make such a mistake as Resident Evil did, going from horror to a mainstream action and puts so much focus on profit that they forgot about its loyal fans and what they wanted. They forgot about their roots and let the fans down. Today RE's rivals are L4D and even Modern Warfare, and stands no chance. Before it was Silent Hill. The game has lost it's history and the company has nothing to be proud of anymore. I can't see R* letting their fans down.
Slamman
Take a break if you're getting bored from it, but always coming back is like going back home to Grove Street for Carl Johnson, can I get an "Amen"!?!? Can I???

Can I??? AMEN! But yeah about what the TC is saying, every GTA has brought something new to the Table, they don't want to completely reinvent it every game, but Rockstar hasn't disapointed me yet in the new features department and I don't think they will now TC. Jeeebuuus
To me the series is getting better with each new installment. IV was amazing and to combine an updated San Andreas landscape will be just what it takes to be the best one yet. I don't think we have to worry about it being stale or repetitive. Algonquin Assassin
Every GTA adds its own bit to the series. Yeah the concept has remained the same for 15 years. but that's like any successful franchise. Did Sonic change itself drastically halfway through its existence? It's one thing in theory to say it should be completely different, but it's another to put it into practice and say what should be done. For instance OP can you give us examples of what R* could do that they've never done before? I'm not being a smart ass, but I've always believed you should back claims up. There's no point saying something like this without suggesting supporting ideas to go a long with it. DonutPT
I understand what OP is saying. Also, considering that on IV u cant swim and the game didn't include planes, car customization, parachutes, bycicles etc i would say more...not only they dont add more features and new playable ideas, they are also taking out other features included on previously game sequels. So yeah. Dont get me wrong (like OP, i love gta and nowadays i just play gta and more one or two games so yeah) but honestly they should add more things, not only storyline changes. New concepts, whatever.

Neckbeard
you should watch this Is it only me or does the new scenery make this look like a whole new game? Even if the main game mechanics don't change I'm sure GTA 5 will still feel like a new and fresh game. at 12:00 you can see a nice overview
GTAsince97
Perhaps I'm set in my ways, but I wouldn't want a GTA that was too much of a departure from the GTA I've come to know and love. I appreciate the update in gameplay mechanics but couldn't bear it if the game became some else entirely. If I grow to be 110 I'd never be to old to play games and would continue to purchase and play GTA, even if it was the same game every time with a new setting. GTA is what got me interested in gaming to begin with and while having some technical limitations and set backs, it's the yardstick by which I measure all other games. Showing my age a bit, I only played one game on Atari, and that was Grand Prix. A driving game that seemed to have an endless straight track. I would imagine what it would be like to have a driving game in which you could tour around a city and do as you pleased. Nintendo came out and I could care less about Mario and Zelda. Being broke we never bought very many games. I skipped Sega Genesis, SNES, N64, Neo Geo etc. Then in early high school someone said "you have to try Grand Theft Auto!." The name alone suggested I'd love it. And I did. I would imagine how awesome it would have been if I could see the game from a ground perspective. I did the same with GTA II. Then GTA III came out. They made MY game. It was all over after that. You are NEVER too old to play games. But you can can be TOO young to fully appreciate GTA!!!
