Well, it was possible in San Andreas, it just took a long time. I think there will be a way to climb this mountain with a bicycle. And otherwise you can also spawn it with a cheatcode .

A full shot of the climbers, in climbing gear, climbing the mountain is good enough confirmation for me. They choose specific things to show in trailers, it's pointless showing us peds backpacking on a mountain if we can't even reach the mountain to kill them all and steal their picnics!

 

Also remember this is the biggest game yet, a mountain sounds pretty big to me.

Go for a mountain climbing journey alone or with friends or relatives. Plant the feeling of climbing a mountain inside yourself, so you can compare it later to the feeling of climbing a mountain in GTA V. You would surprised!

In GTA III you can go to the airport but you can't fly any of the jets or helicopters.

 

In San Andreas there is submarine, but you can't use it.

 

 

In red dead redemption there is lakes and rivers with water falls, but you can't have any fun with those. Not to mention the old cars that you can't drive. (I know its a western, but c'mon R*!)

only teasing, some things are the just for aesthetic reasons and functionality hasn't been added in yet, games are always getting better though.

Why do you think the trailer had hardly any footage of weapons/police?

 

I think the reason is because R* knows that we know that there will obviously be that kind of stuff, so they fileld the trailer with new things and features, such a planes and gyms. I am absolutely sure everything in the trailer will be accessible, even the wig store.

Since they showed a guy with two girls climbing the mountain, I don't see why they wouldn't let us climb that mountain.

Plus, I think we will be able to fly the airplanes and to, of course, swim.

 

This GTA will include a lot of new features for sure, and they will add what we couldn't do in other R* games in one game.

Idk man in IV it showed Niko with fingerless gloves but we weren't able to wear them.

No, i don't think they should add this feature to the game. Climbing mountains is a dangerous activity, you can fall and get a serious injury. They should not put this in game at all. Dont instigate people to climb mountains.

Grabbing handholds on mountains like Assassins Creed does with buildings would be great. In RDR you could only pull yourself up certain ledges.

Yeah it better be climbable, though the Airplane thing in III never got to me, what got to me was that little tunnel to no where, it looked so damned tempting.

 

But yeah odds are we can climb it they chose to show it for a reason, I doubt that reason is some Vinewood actors in front of a Green Screen, I mean come on.

 

I also hope they fill the mountain and country side with Easter eggs, such as seven thousand steps if there’s a walkway to the top. (A reference to Skyrim’s Throat of the world, and High Hrothgar.)

One of my favorite elements of GTA San An, that was the clouds up at great heights and having planes appear and crash into the mountain

 

We mentioned that long ago, it was mentioned from the R* camp that the SA trajectory of planes was totally random, that they thought to iron that out, but opted not to for the effect, I assume they saw the humor in it's random crashing events!

The random plane crashes where some of my favorite moments in San Andreas. Seen them crash into everything from Buildings, to Mount Chiliad, to the Big Ear, hell they killed me a few times when I was climbing Chiliad on a Mountain Bike, or the Sanchez, many good times where had with those.

 

So glad Rockstar never fixed that.

Lmao I just died while doing my driving school in San Fierro because an airplane crashed right in front of my car, then my car exploded. It's the first time it happens to me and now that I come to the forums I must read that. lol

LMFAO, it's rare that they spawn that low, but I've had a similar event happen once where I was cruiseing though Bone County, and randomly I hear a plane engine and BAM, blows up near me and I didn't have time to ditch the car.
