I dunno if I should install them, I know performance and all is better, but how that will affect my ability to join servers? And the DayZ site is down, does that happen often? But anyway I haven't had any problems joining servers. Also, (majority of) servers and the website are down due to a "major DDOS attack" They supposedly fixed it but the website/servers still keep on f*cking up Btw oyster I'm still heading west towards Kamenka when I'm playing, takes a damn long time lol. I dont know if you can use higher beta versions and connect to lower beta version servers. Yeah just download teamspeak 3 put in the ip and password and you can join. Its up 24/7 well until it has database problems again. If you download six updater/ sixlauncher of witch i beleive there is a link on the dayz site. That will update your version of dayz. Above the server list window is a search bar just type in gtaforums dayz server and it should be the only one that comes up. The hardest part is updating your arma to the latest beta. But there are guides online. Just gota find the install location and delete the current beta file before running the new beta install. I see someone mention on The dayz forums about them not being able to see uk servers. Is it back now or are all the servers down? When I die, it says something like that and I can't respawn, only die again and again. And yeah, servers are all down except the unofficial ones. I was in one, but everything was pitch black in it and I couldn't see anything, but at least zombies didn't see me too. They only heard me. It is a pain to find eachother but a relif when you do. Ive been using an online map and seeing if i can compare the coast and railway tracks 9r bridges to work out where i am. Also is it easy to play with friends and start at the same location? When you first log in to the world, keep an eye on the bottom right corner, it will say the Day and what city you are in (or near). Then find an online map (or in game) and navigate your way from there. The in-game map doesn't help at all, just use an online one mate. It depends on the server setting. Ive been assured by my hoster that it is labled correctly allthough it only comes up as server for me. Supposedly its UK104 i think. Also another rule is you cant lock the server for specific members or kick out people to make room for members. This is to ensure there are still randomers in the server so a group of people cant just go round all working together hoarding stuff. You can obviously w9rk together but the modders see the freelancers as an important gameplay element of witch they dont want to lose. Hence the strict rules to get the server whitelisted. Also ive set the server to restart every 24 hours so it will go down once a day atleast. Im not sure what time the restart happens so keep me posted if your on! Even though the ping timeout is set to 300 lol can i suggest we use our forum names while on the server so we can tell whos on from gtaf you dont have to but just a suggestion due to the fact theres are randomers on as well.
