OysterBarron Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) Basically once you have purchased a server you have to submit it to the DayZ dev team who will then check it meets specifications and whitelist it as an official server aswell as giving you an instance ID, I thought i had to do this part but on speaking with the multiplay hosters yesterday they assured me it had been done allready. i'm now double checking this with the Dayz Dev Team to make sure that it has just incase its not and that is whats causing this error! Its not a private whitelist per player its just one for official servers of witch needs to be done otherwise the Hive doesn't communicate with the server hence the blacklist! Hopefully as we learn the game and ways of the game better, we'll stop breaking bones haha. Imo the game is a lot more fun with a group of people. I don't know if it will be there by the time you read this message as it will most likely despawn if the server crashes / restarts. I took most of the main valuables but there is still some pickings, notably an Mk48 and a DMR sniper rifle, both are under the heli so you might have to do some careful searching. Plus when everyone seems to use these online maps which tell you pretty much everything about every single building, the least the ingame map can do is show you where you are. imo anyway. If you're a bad navigator, you deserve to be punished for not being able to read a map and use landmarks to find your way. Don't turn it in to retard-easy-mode, please. The settings are almost just perfect as they are. Besides, there's a GPS that fills that function. Turning on retard-easy-mode makes one of the best gadgets in the game useless. The 3DP view gives somewhat of a situation awareness that you can't really emulate with a first person view even with the free look. Still too narrow a field of view. Strange it still appears as just 'server' when I search for GTAF I'm in some supermarket atm. Was hoping to find one of those big backpack things, but there was just a sh*tload of food and drink, I had to consume the ones I already had lol. Nvm... Once i get off this tech support chat i should be coming on. Well apparently it's the dayz people that are taking there time in supplying an official name but iv'e been assured that the server has been whitelisted and assigned an instance ID hopefully it should stop listing as SERVER soon once multiplay receives the information!
