How are you so damned good?

 

Were you thinking of working on any other III era characters/protagonists in the future?

Thanks :) Yeah, I have some thoughts about it.The only problem is, that I can never get satisfied with the results.So I keep working on stuff that I thought they were done :D
For exapmle now the normal map on his neck doesn't seems to be right.But if I could ever get to do another character, I'll do one of the GTA3 characters or Tommy.

I'm not sure if you want us to post bugs we find, but I was in the first mission and this happened;

Unlike the snapshot's it was actually flickering. There are pictures where you don't see it as well because I was mashing F12 trying to get the picture. I know you said cutscenes are still a bit buggy, but I thought you should know. Also the mouth doesn't move but I think you know that.

 

This happened because I forgot to put a file in. Thought the result was pretty funny.

I know about these.The mouth is not rigged, so that's why it won't move.And in cutscenes sometimes it works normally, sometimes it looks like this.Never got this glitch in the intro cutscene though.

Like I say, I'm not complaining. Glitches are almost certain in mods. I just thought I'd post them incase you didn't know.

The latest version appears in cutscenes but only the head model.those parts of the hair model which have alpha channels aren't rendered in cinematics.that's not a bug, I made it that way for a reason.The other one that works with cutscenes is in the cutsceneheadbuggy folder obviously.

I guess the one on the left is yours? I have a feeling I have never seen the right one before either. One is the artwork rendition, and the other one is the ingame rendition?

The ones in the middle are mine, the other two are just there for comparison.(The model on the left is the model of Tommy used in cutscenes in Vice City).But the differences I was talking about are between the two head models in the middle.The first picture shows a somehow altered Tommy (of course not mentioning that it got some more polygons)

You made incredible progress since last year, fidox. I'm impressed.

 

But one thing I don't like too much is that (assuming you changed CS model inspired by artwork) is that he looks kinda angry and his eyes are too open.

I think he should look more relaxed like the original, you know?

(just my opinion)

The student coat was "cancelled", because no one showed interest.But I'll finish it anyway, cause last week I reexplored it and thought: how cool would it look if it was done :D I totally forgot about it...Anyway thank you all :) these kind of comments really motivate me

@Megamario - I'll keep that in mind ;) it's far from a finished version that's why I wanted to share with you the progress, so you share your thoughts suggestions. It is common that the creator "falls in love" with his model and can't see it's flaws.

I normally hate Claude, he's one of the worst protagonists in my opinion, although I love your work, looks awesome!

Here you can see those two different models from an alternate perspective.I thought it's kinda funny how he has a different proprtion of his face and his nose's different too, but it doesn't make a noticable change in front view.

That's amazing, will you make different clothing for this like with Claude? The red pimp outfit (Michael Jackson looking ped from VC) would be a nice optional outfit.
