Skip Missions Idea

You could have the player grass up mission buddies so they have to call off a job etc, if the player wants to skip a mission, rather than just a "skip a mission" button. They do it all the time in the mafia etc these days. Grass someone up, get them out of the way. If the player does this too often it might have repercussions. Just an idea.

I don't think they would implement something like that. I think they want you to experience the game the best way possible, and that way is to play through all of the story missions. It's kind of like a kid saying, "Look what I can do!!" and then if you don't look they say "hey! look! look! look at this! look at what I'm doing!" So I doubt R* would do this.

It would just make the game way to easy to complete.

I like a challenge,in my opinion so I gotta say no.

Would f*ck up the story

Woo woo woo, this guy knows it. I don't completely comprehend what you are trying to say but it sounds like it would mess up the story entirely. The missions tell a story and are there for a reason, skipping the smallest of missions may change your views on a certain character which could backfire when you have to make the choice whether to kill them or not later.

That is seriously a game breaking idea.

So instead of having fun. You spend money you earned running people over?

What a brilliant first reply to the thread, honestly. LOL.

why would i buy a game i want to play if i'm just going to "skip missions" by hiring some guys to do it for me instead of actually playing them?? i want to do everything possible in GTA, not hire people to do it for me

I ever struck the idea that;

Once you failed the mission you wont able to replay it, just FAIL.

But the story still goes on. And you have to do another missions to reach the goal.

So the story will be different depends on in which mission you have failed.

You can reply the mission only if you START OVER the whole game.

Example.

Niko have to kill Vlad

But you have FAILED when you chase the Vlad, you have lost him.

The next mission is to find where the Vlad is.

This mission could be perform in V since we know the car has their own license plate.

Then you only should find where he is then kill.

Just a thought.

On topic: No skip mission, but it's may be an option skip the journey like some mission in SA.

We know V will have massive map.

L.A. Noire lets you skip action sequences but that's because they wanted adventure-game players to be able to get through it. GTA combines a lot of kinds of gameplay but it's very much about action, and it doesn't make so much sense to say you can skip this part but not that part. In GTA you can get yourself into difficult action situations in free roam. It's not linear enough to say where the parts to skip are.

The story is the most important thing in the game.

It would f*ck up everything if you could skip a mission.

And it's always fun to try HARD missions over and over again.
