Well the Twins open up at Target field in two days yet we got like a foot and a half of snow last night. And not the nice fluffy stuff this is the wet heavy sh*t. This will be pretty interesting come the 6th.

Well if Chicago is cursed what about the White Sox in 05? And the Bulls in the 90s? if any city is cursed its poor old Cleveland and my team isn't very good but atleast they have won it all twice in the last 30 years. Which is better than nothing. But they are in last place now where I assume they will stay for most of the year

Twins are 7-7 and only one game out of first. I'm hoping this trend continues. If we are about .500-.550 heading into the ASG then I could see us possibly making a run at the Division title.

I went to the Giants Dodgers Finale yesterday. The whole day sucked Dick.

 

Traffic there, Parking Ticket, showed up in 4th inning, Giants lost, traffic back, sh*tty dinner. f*ck Yesterday man.

Which makes it worse. My boss is my best friend's dad and he makes his son's life a living hell at work. Scheduling him a ton of tough stressful work and long hours

 

Anyways I miss MLB network and Baseball tonight But I will be getting a satellite plan around July so I guess I will still be up to date for half the season. The internet just isn't the same for highlights and news. I'm old school

Agree brawls in this game are pretty boring as its just a bunch of guys flooding in from all over the park just to push and shove on another. When you see a brawl in Hockey you know it's going to be intense af with blood nd shyt. But they should just eliminate brawls from the MLB as it's just pointless and a waste of time, like if you want to have a big pushing contest, do it somewhere else.

Looking up the brawls led me to this video. Reminds me of how good of a series that was and how magical of a season 08 was for the Rays.

Damn right it was exciting. And it set the stage for all the success they have had in recent years. Since 08 they have made the playoffs 3 more times which isn't bad for the lowest payroll in baseball and playing in the AL East.

Barry Bonds took steroids. its pretty much a given. But he Never once Failed a test, and he was never caught with 100% proof. And even if they did prove it, that's fine because at the time he took them, the stuff he was taking wasn't against the rules yet.

 

But anyway, there is a very small percentage of baseball players that have never taken anything. it goes back to the days of when they were being recruited.

Very true. I actually don't really care about the steroid era and who was using and who wasn't. The only thing that would disappoint me is if it came out the Ken Griffey Jr. or Randy Johnson was using. I don't care too much about anyone else

The reason outlawed the use of Pine Tar and spitballing was because it dirtied the ball so after a fe winnings it would be a brown slippery mess. But now days the ball is switched so often that It wouldn't really be an issue I don't think.

if some players are allowed to use the substance, all players should be allowed to use the substance. either everyone can use pine tar, or no one can use pine tar.

 

also, you're right.

the ball is changed about every 2.5 pitches. it's a non-issue anymore if it ever was to begin with.

There are 2,430 games per MLB Season

About 50 Baseballs are used per 9 inning baseball game.

That's 121,500 Baseballs used for the whole season.

at 15 dollars per baseball, that means MLB spends $1,822,500 on Baseballs per year.

 

Holy sh*t. That's not even including Playoffs, Spring Training or Batting Practice.

 

Its probably closer to $3,000,000.
