Yea Its coming up quick. I am debating on making the trip to Scottsdale this year.

I have never gone to spring training but I have heard it is amazing.

my dad and my uncle go to Jupiter, FL every year to watch Cardinals spring games.

I've only been once but it is an amazing atmosphere.

Idk about you guys but im just ready for th suoer bowl to be over so we can get to baseball season. For me the mlb season always starts the day after the super bowl. Too bad my team (twins) sucks these days. It was a lot more interesting when they were competitve. But anyways it doesn't kill my buzz everytime spring rolls around

Yea, Football sucked for me this year. Im a Cal Fan for College and Raiders for the NFL. Both were horrible.

My MLB team has been the Giants since Birth. I was named after the Starting pitcher who pitched the Day I was born. so far this Decade we Have won the World series in the Even Years, So Im hoping to keep that trend going.

Yeah you lucky bastard lol I would kill to see my hometown team win a world series. Maybe it will happen someday. And we are hosting the all star game this year so i guess that's pretty cool. I just want the baseball season to just start now I cant wait any longer

Holy sh*t I can't believe spring training is like a month and a Half away

Yeah, this might have been the quickest winter I've ever been apart of honestly, maybe because the winter meetings weren't really that interesting to me except near the beginning with the Yankees signing Ellsbury , or letting go Cano.

Tbh I really didn't follow the MLB that much tho off-season. Mostly because I dont have cable anymore which means no more ESPN or MLB network so it has left me a little put of the loop. So im not really up to date with what went on at the winter meetings or the rest of the offseason. Im just ready for the season to start

Who did the Tigers get in return for Fielder? And I dont really think much Of these japanese stars when theu come over until they actually prove themselves.

Ian Kinsler, not sure what to say about that trade since Ian is a great hitter

I'm looking forward to another year where Mike Trout is awesome. He seriously makes it worth it to watch the Angels.

Yeah I think Ian is a better all around player than Prince. But considering the park the Rangers play half Their games in it wpuld make sense they would want to Load up on power bats. And Trout is a beast. It will be interesting to seewhat kind of money he gets when it comes time for the Angels to resign him

Predictions anyone?

AL East: Red Sox

AL Central: Tigers

AL West: A's

AL WC: Yankees

AL WC: Royals <<Surprise pick

NL East: Braves

NL Central: Cardinals

NL West: ugh....Dodgers :v:

NL WC: Reds

NL WC: Giants

WS Champs: Tigers

Last year I think we didn't get a clear look at some of the teams because the WBC.

I will take a shot in the dark not knowing very much about the shifting that went on in the offseason. And not really having a clear look now. So here it goes

ALE: Red Sox

ALC: Tigers

ALW: Angels <<Darkhorse

AlWC: Rangers

ALWC: Rays

NLE: Braves

NLC: Pirates <<Darkhorse

NLW: Dodgers

NLWC: Cardinals

NLWC: D-Backs <<Darkhorse

NL: Cards

AL: Tigers

WS: Cards

As always I will probably be way off. But oh well at least its fun to give it a shot

Yeah true. So here's to hoping I get them right. But I have found the predicting the major leagues is a crapshoot sometimes. Theres always going to be some Darkhorse out of nowhere who makes a run and f*cks everything up. And then there is usually a perrenial contender who gets riddled with injuries early on and can't catch up.

Oh yeah and Jeter is retiring after this season I think he has a good shot at 3500 hits. Which is a damn good number

Literally didn't know about this 'till now.. I am extremely saddened to hear that, he's been my favorite player since I first fell in love with the sport.

Was hoping to see at least another year from him after this season, hoping we at least make the postseason this year one more time just for him.

Yeah it is somewhat sad. But I guess everything has to come to an end eventually. And it is also sad because there's no way the yanks will make the playoffs this year. I just dont see it

I like this prediction. Although, I'd put the Mariners in there instead of the Royals, and I'm thinking the Yankees are making it back to the WS this year. One more for JEETA.

I just cant see the Yanks even making it to the postseason this year despite picking up Ellsbury and that Japanese guy. Losing Cano and Rivera will hurt. Jeter is old and nowhere near the kind of threat he used to be. And I think A-Rod is going to be a distraction throughout the year. solid third in the ALE but out of the hunt.

Yeah, it's a bit of a long shot. But I like making those predictions. And laughing about them when I'm wrong.

The Mariners were my other Dark Horse. I think he AL West will be the most competitive division this year.

I agree as well. Oakland, LA, Texas and Seattle will all be competitive. Too bad for the Astros though

I'll believe the Angels are competitive when I see it. They'll be able to hit the ball, but it's the other team hitting the ball that I'm afraid of.

I have a budy who plays for the Astors. If you guys remember the kid who the rangers pulled the Hidden Ball trick on last year on his Debut and then the next day got hit in the face with a 96 MPH fastball. Yea that's Him.

He will probobly start this year in AAA since he only 22 but he is there top Catching Prospect I believe.

I have lots of family in Scottsdale actually. But I won't be down there for spring training. Im moving down there this summer though. So spring training 2015 here I come

I'm like an hour or so from Scottsdale. I've saw all the fields and stuff before but can't say that I've went there and participated during spring training.
