A nice story followed up with ZERO photos, transcripts or at the very least, some form of visible proof that any of this is anything but a pointless waste of time. How can you even think that anyone is going to believe someone who just joined for the sole purpose of leaking info? I will admit that it was a nice diversion from the usual Rockstar bash session that is rampant on here. On a side note, i DO like the idea of the map being as large as you "claim".

Unlike everyone else here Im not going to say this is fake because of grammatical errors or what not since you presented yourself as someone who just saw some things. But its very hard for me to believe that Rockstar has everyone of their staff members chained up in there office at gun point with the chance at losing their lives if they leak info, yet you just stroll on in as an intern and manage to not only get some info, but ALOT of detailed info.

You could not work in their office without signing a contract that you cannot leak information. Unpaid or not. That is why nothing from Rockstar ever gets leaked. The stuff about the mountains is wrong, the mountains in the trailer are the Great Western Divide, they don't resemble any range in Southern California.  So that small fact alone makes everything here fake.

Lol, geography fail. "The Great Western Divide" is called the Continental Divide, and that is the Rocky Mountains, which go through the middle of Colorado/NM, miles and miles away from LA. It's called the Continental Divide because everything east of it is pretty much flat, and has a more humid climate, whereas everything west of it is full of mountains and hills, and is dry.

 

And you don't think these mountain ranges look like the San Gabriel mountains? I mean, we hardly ever see them anymore because of the smog, but they are there, on the few days when the smog kind of lifts in LA, and I don't think they look much different.

Yes, I stand somewhat corrected. I should have known there was probably something called The Great Western Divide, and I should have googled it, but I guess I didn't because I live close to the Continental Divide, and that is where my southwest-centric brain immediately went.

 

Still, the San Gabriel mountains do hug the city of LA. The Great Western Divide is mostly in the Sierra Mountains, so once you get to SoCal, I think the San Gabriels might actually be part of the Great Western Divide.

 

I have been to LA and what I remember, is there isn't a lot of distance between the hills and mountains of the Inland Empire, and the City of LA. It's pretty much flat desert with lone mountains sparsely placed all the way from Phoenix, until you get to Palm Springs, then you start to go up a bit, and there are a lot of hills, and then you're in LA, so to act like there is a big difference between the San Gabriels and the Great Western Divide is a little misleading. Unless you're being extremely precise.

I still don't get why people have to get so mad about this. I guess everyone has to show off that they aren't completely gullible and say "nuh-uh!" but for me, and for the guy who wrote this, it's a given that we would all be skeptical.

 

What I HATE is waiting around for actual info to come in when it hasn't for months, and probably won't until Max Payne 3 (which I call "NOT GTA V") comes out. I like to fantasize, and imagine, and this post helped me do that.

Good ideas. Your money system, specifically the Pawn shops, are exactly what I think Rockstar will do.

Rockstar should incorporate Red Dead Redemption's selling and buying system into Grand Theft Auto 5. In this system, the 'prized hunts' would be replaced with stolen goods. Stolen goods include, but are not limited to, jewelry, weapons, and drugs.

Great point. Rockstar's history of being almost completely devoid of leaks shows how much thought they put into taking every possible measure to protect information. Can it happen? Sure it could, but employees are bound by confidentiality agreements that come with employment at Rockstar. Only someone who did'nt care about the financial ramifications that come with potential lawsuits, as well as finding future employment difficult, would carelessly reveal information like that. Furthermore, there is nothing to gain except some meaningless "kudos" from a bunch of members of a forum he does'nt even know. I laughed when i checked his join date.
