austinkopeck
What are the differences between the PC and PlayStation versions of GTA 1, London 1969, and 2? I want to know because I want to buy the "Grand Theft Auto: Collector's Edition" to complete my collection (for now) and I want to know how different each game is from the PC version. Sektor
The PS1 versions have less colours, lower resolution, less collectibles, less weapons, less vehicles, less traffic, less peds, no lighting effects, no multiplayer, 1961 isn't available for PS1 and probably even more limitations. It's still GTA and it's still fun but given the choice, you are much better off going with the PC version. Edited April 4, 2012 by Sektor
Kent Traffic Cop
As above... plus you can always plug a PS3 controller into your PC using "MotionJoy" - that way you get the console experience, but with the full PC spec
austinkopeck
I would buy the "Grand Theft Auto Classics Collection" for the PC, but London '61 isn't compatible with that version of '69(without mods)... and my PC sucks, so the PS1 games would be good enough. I don't care about resolution or multiplayer all that much. I will download GTA 1 and 2 from R* Classics for now.
