It's just there to place you in "fair" matches. And tbh mg2 is hardly an improvement over nova. Also, you're not alone on that. Plenty of people deranked 2 ranks in the past weeks it seems. can we just make a group on Steam where we can play together so i can get better That can prove tough since a lot of people in this thread seem to scattered around the world. I wanted to get a sheriff rank beacuse I heard there are much better players here. I can't play with those nova morons (which are mostly newfags) who can't even communicate. I'm literally always first in all matches and it still takes ages to rank up... It took me few months to get MG2 and now I'm back to gn4 THANKS VALVE. I also red that it's harder to rank up now. I've seen enough not using popflashes during a B rush, choking easy picks, and used to be guilty of both when I was one, and am now thanks to the MMR shift. Several legit Eagles/Eagle Masters/ Supremes have all gone down a rank or two (Lost my LEM because of this). Add your everyday smurfs and a recent influx of cheaters due to holiday sales, and what's left is a Matchmaking hellhole. And concerning DMG, it's an ok rank. The first genuine cs enthusiast rank IMO. But it's also littered with supreme smurfs and the "Hi, I got carried to this rank by friends, please bear with my ineptitude and the fact the only weapon I can use is the p90" player. If you truly like the game but hate matchmaking's problems, consider ESEA or faceit. I did and it's a good place to improve and reduce the cheaters tenfold.
