El Dildo
you heard right. the full story can be seen HERE. Mr. Bay has decided to change the backstory a little. “When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when [we] are done with this movie," Bay said about his upcoming series reboot during a presentation at the Nickelodon upfronts. "These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable." "Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script," he wrote. "Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world." yup, the Turtles are now space aliens. darthYENIK
What... the... f*ck. f*ck you, Bay. Relax? You've already revealed that you f*cked up. First of all, there's already a race of anthropomorphic animals from another planet... Relax? f*cking condescending asshole. Building a richer world? Just like Transformers? I usually say, I don't give a f*ck, but this is taking it too far. The origin story of the Turtles is one of the best parts of the whole thing. A rat that learns ninjutsu, and then teaches it to turtles. The where and why they become big is always okay for change, but making them aliens instead of turtles for the sake of believing they "really exist" is retarded, and f*cks up the part about tiny animals being able to learn martial arts. And this is coming from someone who enjoys the Star Wars prequels. f*cking money grubbing nostalgia vampire. John The Grudge
I've prayed to every god going for them to strike Michael Bay down before he can get his hands on the Turtles. Now we'll see if your gods really give a sh*t about us. Mr Bay perhaps you ought to consider the title. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're not aliens, they're mutants. Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles sounds crap. Edited March 21, 2012 by John The Grudge
Creed Bratton
I don't know what's more hilarious. The fact that Michael Bay is making a Ninja Turtles reboot movie, or that the fans are furious about it. You don't actually have to watch it, you know? I know I won't. f*ck Michale Bay and Ninja Turtles. The only time they were fun was when they looked like this

I actually remember the ORIGINAL comic books by E & L. and they made the TMNT cartoon (which most people think is the "original") look like children's-gay-time-happy-hour. El Dildo
and Bay talks about how the new turtles are going to be "...tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable." you know what's code for? they're going to try and make them COOL in the eyes of kids today. which means one of the turtles will inevitably have to speak with an urban-hip-hop voice using all sorts of stupid Ebonics and "street" slang like a wanna-be gang banger. ugh, my head hurts just thinking about it. To be fair, though, they made Michaelanglo sound like spicoli in the cartoon and movies, which was an attempt to capitalize on what was "cool" at the time. Otter
You know what was actually super rad? The two newer cartoon series. Very fun, very Turtley. And then they did the TV film "Turtles Forever" which was so cool I nearly died. I met Kevin Eastman at ComicCon last year, and as he was drawing a f*cking picture of Raphael for me, he was talking about new and exciting Turtles projects. Very cryptically. But what stood out at me was the fact that the guy is, like, oldschool awesome. He's the Editor of Heavy Metal these days. He drips testosterone. He writes comics where the turtles kill sh*tloads of bad guys. With machine guns. The turtles have been reimagined like a billionty times. Even in the comics. So I'm actually looking forward to any take on the story. Not sure why it's got to be aliens, but hey - I'm still down.

A J
I am still waiting for Bad Boys 3 from Michael Bay. GTFO or STFU. All I can think of is the awesome theme tune from the old cartoons, loved this cartoon as a kid. Not bothered if they try to cash in on another re-boot, would be awesome to see it done right though, and not just some lame Michael Bay bullsh*t, were it appeals to the idiotic mainstream masses! ll rdny ll
My blood is boiling, I can't even explain the rage that I'm feeling right now, I'm actually punched a wall when I read that article. If this actually comes to fruition, It will be my life's work to destroy Micheal Bay. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were one of the most iconic figures to me in my youth. I have every season of the original cartoon on DVD & VHS and I have all of the comics hidden in a safe inside my storage unit (weather proofed of course) 3 of the 4 statues that were made way back when the first live-action movies came out. I imagine this is how the people who grew up watching the original trilogy felt when they finally watched The Phantom Menace.
Otter
...if you're a fan of the comics, why do you have a problem with aliens? Exkabewbikadid
Haha, stupid turtles gonna get raped. I grew up with the turtles and loved them like every other kid in my generation, but I have zero desire to rehash such nostalgia, so they can cornhole them to no end for all I care. Although, personally, I'd like to see a mature take on TMNT. Make it rated R and fill it to the brim with violence, naughty curse words and a naked April. I'd buy a ticket to see that opening night. If what that link says is true, They're turning the actual turtles into aliens, not mutants. Edit: I may be a nerd, but it doesn't bother me one bit. That's been proven to be a college project, not the actual makeup's. That pic has been around for awhile and fueled speculation and was finally outted by the student himself.
