Plugin gives you ability to add more than 128 color IDs to carcols.dat. Works only with gta_sa.exe 1.0 US (14 383 616 bytes).

Good job.

 

Any chance of making a tool that allows more car mod objects? I heard that only the id numbers areound 1000 can be made into car mod components, is this true?

Rules/Limits are always meant to be broken xD

 

Car.grp would also be awesome if that limit was broken. AFAIK only 23 cars per car group can be loaded. If this could be broken, a more diverse and broader range of vehicles could be loaded, and make the game even more realistic xD

Thanks, it's useful, but why not open source.

Cargrp.dat limit is one of the hardest limits in testing. Even though you hack pointers testing is pain because you need to run GTA SA and conclude whether more random vehicles appear. I'mma to break this limit as well.

Hey man, great job! Can you also try to break the limits for added jet planes? because added jet planes do not have sound (even after using vehicle audio editor) and landing gears do not work, canopy doesnt open and if i wanna add a VTOL aircraft (vertical take off and landing) like hydra, it wont work either. weapons are not a problem as i am a cleo scripter, i can add weapons myself.

 

Also, do these colors work if i use them in cleo 4 and sanny builder? Because previously without this mod, I could not set a vehicle's color beyond 128, anything higher and it will just appear as black color.

No. It's practically impossible because you need to patch hundreds of functions.

 

0 - 19999 (20000) - DFF models defined within IDE files

20000 - 24999 (5000) - TXD archives.

25000 - 25254 (255) - COL collision archives.

25255 - 25510 (256) - IPL Binary IPL files.

25511 - 25574 (64) - DAT files limited to nodes*.dat files caused by sscanf(&Entry.Name[5], "%d", &CurrentObjectIndex)

25575 - 25754 (180) - IFP animation archives.

25755 - 26229 (475) - RRR car recordings, carrec*.rrr files
