milkNtitTEEZ
I bought GTA IV for pc last week and realized it wouldn't play properly right off the bat. So I did a whole system defrag, lowered the quality on all the options in the graphics menu and the game is still running way too slow. Fiddling with the options did nothing as well. I also tried this game booster program to supposedly make games run faster, but i recognized no difference still. My laptop is a HP G60 Notebook with a AMD Turion Dual Core RM-75 2.2 GHz processor. I have 3 gb of ram and over a 100 gb free space. I know my laptop sucks but I'm been able to play Simcity and Rollercoaster Tycoon with no problems, and I'd like to play gta4 if possible. My drivers are up to date far as I know. Any ideas?
xcaliber81
im sure i can play sim city and roller coaster tycoon on my sony ericsson xperia play pretty good too, those games are nothing compared to what gta 4 needs to run, your laptop will probably never play gta 4 with a decent fps. YankeesPwnMets
I have the perfect solution for a problem like this: Get a new computer. Seriously though, your laptop isn't going to run GTA IV. Way too weak. And for the billionth time, I'm going to repeat this: You can't say "I can run this and that at xxFPS so I should be able to run GTA IV at xx settings and xxFPS" Maybe with a game like BF3 you can say that, but those two games you mentioned are significantly less demanding then IV
