œaœa
So this problem has been happening for about two days now.. I left for school in the morning and my internet was working fine. Windows told me that new updates were installed. I come back home around 7 hours later and I can't connect to the internet. It says that it has "limited access". Now, I am using a wireless USB and I thought that was the problem. I went out to get a new one but the problem is still there. I tried system restore and I tried resetting everything. I don't know what to do anymore. Any help please? Specs are in my sig
Iminicus
Have you deleted the WiFi from your Wireless Networks? This might be the issue. Go to Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks > Select WiFi Network > Delete > Reconnect
XePoZuRe v16
Try reinstalling Windows 7 or reset it to the factory default. Just make sure that you buy a USB and store all your pictures, files and music on it before you reinstall.
Adilana
I think that you have some problems with your drivers or it may be a virus.
Wolf68k
Did you try just unplugging and plugging back in the original USB WiFi dongle you had? Another suggestion only because I've been getting strange Wifi issues with my laptop lately (which was already a mess from factory, but that's another story) is this. Under the list of Network Adapters find the Wifi, right-click and select disable. Wait a few seconds then right-click again and select enable. See if that does anything. I think reinstalling the OS for this kind of a problem is a big extreme at this early stage. If it is at all possible, try running an ethernet cable to your router/modem. It doesn't sound like that would be ideal in your case, at least I assume so other wise you would have been doing that from the beginning. Try it just temporarily just to see if that works at all. If you still have the same problem while wired and wireless, then yes reinstall the OS, which was the only solution I could come up with for a friend years ago on his XP system.
