IV had nothing to do in the world or interact with. 5 years for V is pathetic, and still might not be able to open the trunk or sit on a bench or interact with an amusemebt park. Those stuff you mentioned.. Doesn't make a game good, Saints Row: the turd have way more features than GTA IV and it still sucked, GTA IV was a great game but had less features than San Andreas.. GTA V will probably be a mix between GTA IV and San Andreas, so it will please everyone Saint row the third is 20x better than Gta 4 IMO .. V 9 L U K 3 4 V Posted March 15, 2012 Share Posted March 15, 2012 IF Grand Theft Auto 5 comes out on xbox this year fine but if it is next year then they would need to rethink because if the new xbox comes out later 2013 finically for rockstar that wouldn't be good. So if it does come out next year for the xbox they will most likely port it to the new one as well which personal i think would be a very good thing to do. That game is what is not giving us the chance to play V. That linear 8 hour snooze fest completed in one night and traded in game is what pushed back V. That game is doing horrible in pre orders and took them 8 years. That game not even close to RDR, or GTA. That game is again is a wanna be Uncharted, will never be. (according to reports, which may or may not be reputable) Saint's Row The Third, wasn't that bad. It was short, It had a lot of childish humor (fart-in-a-jar ) But it wasn't that bad. You're not going to earn any points with rockstar saying that SRTT was Sh*t, because I really don't think they care at all. The stupid crap in that game was avoidable. (meaning, you didn't have to do/use it) It was a pretty f*cking epic game. (I wouldn't play through it a second time, unless I was doing co-op, but still) I find picking up hookers in GTA to be stupid and childish, but you don't hear me complaining about it. You know why? And those would give you countless hours of fun? SR3 has all of that stuff and it bored the life out of me within 15 minutes. Just driving around in GTA IV is way better than any of the stuff you listed. You should try Wii resort or Wii sports. They sound right up your alley. I'm kidding. That stuff can be fun diversions during the main story. After that though the only thing keeping me on it is the city, the detail, the atmosphere and finding rare vehicles etc. I think you place too much value on mini games and perhaps not enough on the stuff that matters. The stuff that the most work goes into. On topic. It's all about the marketing. I think Max Payne 3 will do very well. Thats why you settle for mini games such as being drunk darts, and pool, you are one of those that like the simple and easy things in life. You don't want new things in the game such as good mini games. So riding a jet ski is not better than having one of those clunky boats in IV. Faster, smoother, and fly like the wind. Wow So playing mini golf 9 par, etc is not better than a non working driving range in IV. Wow. Or playing mini golf or par 9 against a friend in multi. So wii resort is classified as having cool things to do in GTA. Wow. Umm yea they would give you countless hours, unlike throwing a dart at a board or bowling. SR3 cant be compared but then again there you go again comparing mini games in SR3 to GTA games. So having a working amusement park where there are video games, rides, npc all over the place on the rides, and playing games, go kart races with npc is not countless hours of fun. Having nothing to do in the safe house is what you want in V. Well i am sure it will be. Mp doing well is what 5 million do we know how much money they lost on this pathetic game in the 8 years. It wont sell even like LA Noire. Its an 8 hour linear game and then will be finished in one night. Not my cup of tea. So GTA:IV's Firefly Island amusement park wasn't interactive because they couldn't be bothered animating it. It wasn't interactive because it was an entirely authentic recreation of it's real life counterpart and essential to the general atmosphere of the area. Just saying, dude.
