RockStarNiko
Similar to the way CJ visits Liberty City in San Andreas There could be a mission where you go to Las Venturas and after this mission you can return there in your spare time to go casinos and strip clubs etc It would not be the whole city, just interiors of 5 or 6 casinos It could work like this - You fly a plane to outskirts of Los Santos and after short cutscene you are sat in a Taxi outside the airport. Next you tell the driver where you want to go from a choice of 5 or 6 casinos When you arrive you are "inside" the casino, so there is no need for them to design an exterior To return to Los Santos you call a taxi from a payphone inside the casino These casinos would be fairly large and full of variety of entertainment (combination of casino floor, strip club, bar, restaurant, comedy/cabaret etc) Would be nice feature I think
Gtaghost22
Would be a waste of space to be honest.. either have the "complete" Las Venturas or dont include it at all
ccrogers15
Or how about just wait until a future game/episode? Im sure we will see SF and LV again in there own games most likely.
Chillzz01
Could be possiable but i highly doubt it. If anything maby DLC or its own game..
cherrycola
We might see parts of it on the TV like in IV, but I doubt we'll ever get to actually visit a III-era city outside of III-era games, because it would look too sh*t in comparison to new LS, and they're not gonna recreate SF/LV just for a short flashback. You can still play in a casino outside of LV.
Jammyget
I'd rather R* concentrated their efforts on making Los Santos as good as possible and not tack on tributes to other games to appease the fanboys.

Dystopia
I don't know why people are dismissing this as not being a possibility. They did it with San Andreas when CJ visited the Bistro in Liberty city during one of the end missions. Admittedly people learnt how to escape the Bistro and walk around the ghost town of Liberty, and it sucked. I don’t know if Rockstar will want this to happen again. Visiting areas of other cities is always a possibility, more of a possibility than most as its happened previously.

Dick Valor
Don't really see the point of such a mission. I'd prefer staying in the proper map. Some Indian casinos in the desert outside LS would be nice.

The novelty of visiting Liberty City in GTA: San Andreas was seeing a part of Liberty City that we all knew and recognized - Saint Mark's Bistro. We have not seen what Las Venturas would look like in this era, so there wouldn't be recognizable areas unless they just copied the map from GTA: SA. If we visited Las Venturas in GTA V, it would look completely foreign, and that defeats most of the purpose of going there to begin with.

Well this is a totally redesigned Los Santos and won't look anything like the old GTA San Andreas so does that mean it wouldn't be worth exploring that either? Of course not! I'd love a new Las Venturas to explore! Things do change after 20 years you know. 'A bold new direction'
73duster
I still don't get why everyone is assuming that we're not going to get the entire San Andreas, including Las Venturas. Why bother going back to Los Santos, and ignoring the rest of San Andreas? I believe that the first trailer showed Los Santos, and each new trailer will show another part of San Andreas. The fact that the first trailer was so obvious in it's exhibition of Los Santos, as with the shot of the letters spelling "Los Santos" in grafitti under the overpass, is a sign that the following trailers will show OTHER sections of San Andreas. It would'nt shock me to see a trailer showing a revamped Las Venturas, casinos, boardwalk and all, when Rockstar finally releases more info. That could be followed by San Fierro, and so on. It's completely possible considering that Rockstar has already said this will be their biggest, and most abitious project to date.

meson1
Could be possible, but I highly doubt it. If anything maybe DLC or its own game. It won't be a DLC. It costs too much money, time and effort to create the map. They can't charge as much for a DLC and DLC's don't sell anywhere near as well as the main game. They'd make a loss if they did that. But I do think they'll hold back LV for it's very own game in which it will be given the full HD treatment. So you're on the mark with the second part of your idea. rare.steak
I didn't like that mission at all in SA and I hope we don't get teased by another lame "visit" to any location for that matter. It's either part of the sandbox or a scam.
Capricornus
I didn't like that mission at all in SA and I hope we don't get teased by another lame "visit" to any location for that matter. It's either part of the sandbox or a scam. And the key word here is "teased". I can see people on here now, bitching about how it should have been a "permanent" location in the first place. That is all the visit will be, is a tease. I know the possibility is there, but even that in itself is faint. While it sounds good, I just don't see it happening. I know a lot of folks are going to be pissed off about SF and LV not being in this time around, but I am pretty certain R* will greatly deliver without the aforementioned cities.
