GR7
I thought a fun way to pass the time while we wait for more info is to make our own contacts which will give the main character missions through-out the game I'll start it off. Name: Michael Shore Mission type: Explosive/over the top Pay: High Bio: Eccentric Vinewood movie maker that likes to focus more on explosions than any sort of coherent storyline. Likes to use practical effects in real locations when shooting but has been refused a permit. That's where you come in. Mission example (Worlds most explosive car chases): Michael wants footage of an authentic car chase with explosions. Players will have 3 star wanted level and will need to race through checkpoints before the timer runs out. If that wasn't hard enough explosives will be littered on the ground meaning players will have to out maneuver the police while staying clear of the explosives. Death2Drugs
That would be nice. If R* could put something like the DYOM mod for GTA: San Andreas, that would give the game a LOT of replayability value that GTA IV lacked. Maybe they could add a feature where you can upload your created mission on the Rockstar Social Club and other people can download it to play it. MrcTOtheJ
Seems fun, I’ll bite. Mission Giver: Richard Jones Mission Types: Assassinations/Car Boosts/Heists Bio: Richard, also known as Rich is a man going on Middle age, who was worked up quite a reputation with various crime syndicates in Los Santos, doing freelance Assassinations, and Thefts, most recently he has been working with a Mutual employer, and has requested your assistance, in exchange for some extra money, and info that he has acquired over his years of being a Gun for hire. (The idea is to get someone similar to the protag, he’s not a boss per se like the people running the gangs, and such, but he’s a respected man whom has been in a position similar to you, and shows the advantages to working Solo, or with your own small team) Mission Examples Mission 1 When the going get Tuff: Mission Type: Car Theft, and Car chase Richard calls you awhile after meeting him on a job with a mutual employer a few missions ago, stating that he has a few jobs lined out that could benefit the both of them, and make them both some money in the process. After meeting him at his home in the hills, he tells you that the job is for a Japanese “Business man” who has been looking for a few select cars, that he’ll pay a premium for, there are three of them, and there just happens to be a shipment with all three of them along with a few other choice cars on the way to the Los Santos international auto show, that being said, Richard has organized a team to get the cars off of the hauler and to the docks, not to mention the other cars the client dosen’t need, which become the reward of the mission. After telling you this, you drive Rich to meet with the rest of the team, a few individuals like Rich and your self, whom work as hired guns. After this the team takes up positions on the freeway to disable the hauler and take the cars, netting them $50k a piece, along with two cars left over, and car theft side missions the player can commence. Mission 2 I’m not a crazed gunman dad, I’m an assassin… Mission Type: Assassination You find Rich on his porch over looking Los Santos to find him on the phone with his father (A man that disproves of Rich’s path in life) after he hangs up he tells you that he has a job he wants to pass on, seeing as he dosen’t have the time, or the need really to do it, and figures that this particular mission might interest you. He tells you that he has done some digging on the target, and has found out that he is a LSPD detective whom has some interesting evidence on both you, and your guy’s mutual employers, that you might be interested in keeping out of police hands. He then goes onto say that the information about their mutual friends might help you out in the long run, not to mention you’d get full payment for the assassination. After this he hands you a silenced pistol of his, and tells you the details where to find the target, from there it’s a straight forward stealth mission. Afterwards you call him, and he congratulates you, and say they money has been wired into your account, and you thank him for the info.

Name: Donovan Leitch Mission Category: Drug Related Stipend: Medium - $2,000 USD Biography: Donovan is a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist. Emerging from the British folk scene, he developed an eclectic and distinctive style that blended folk, jazz, pop, psychedelia, and world music. grope_4_that_date
Bio: Eccentric Vinewood movie maker that likes to focus more on explosions than any sort of coherent storyline. Likes to use practical effects in real locations when shooting but has been refused a permit. That's where you come in. That's creative! Very well done. I can see Rockstar doing this. --- Name: Norman or Darwin Bio: Obsessive animal lover that works as a Zookeeper/Animal Control at the Los Santos Zoo. He despises his job, as he is forced to keep animals inside tiny, savage cages. Believes "We're all animals" Missions: •Gorilla escapes the zoo. Shiloh nicknamed "Shy-shy" is a mountain gorilla from the Democratic Republic of Congo - and he's currently murdering pedestrians at the Griffith park observatory. You're given a tranquilizer gun and instructed to take him out before he hurts any more civilians. •Kidnap "Bernie the Bear" and set him free into the wild. Bernie is a 910 pound grizzly bear. The mission becomes difficult after you sneak Bernie into the back of a small LSZ transport van. I know this may seem off-topic, but I had a weird GTA IV dream a year ago where Niko was given a (random NPC) mission by a talking animal. Very creepy. Maybe, if GTA V really has "legendary animals" that RDR had, one could be a talking animal that at midnight, very rarely, will talk to you and give you a task to free him in the wild (a Madagascar-inspired mission). Dumb, a little childish, but hey, we need to take some comedic relief from the serious and grittiness of the main story. EDIT: Mission Giver: James the Black Bear Task: James is tired of zoo life. He wants to go back to the forests north of Los Santos to reconnect with his bear family (black bears being the only species of bear left in the State of San Andreas). It's either stay in the zoo eating thrown junk food forever, get back to the wild or get killed trying by the LSPD. There is one thing that makes James stand out: he can talk. At midnight, he gives the protagonist a job to take him on the back of the truck and smuggle him out of the city to avoid detection by the LSPD. Good idea I'll do that @grope_4_that_date: good idea for missions using animals its wacky but those are the type of missions GTA needs to be fun again. @Death2Drugs: I think a talking bear might be a bit too much for GTA, it made me laugh though .
