Anchor Posted March 13, 2012 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Hey everyone. I haven't posted on this forum too much since around 09, but I created a new account out of excitement for V. I haven't had much to say until now so I hope this theory is worthy of discussion. I apologize if something similar has already been brought up. Anyway, I've been reading a lot of threads debating who the protagonist actually is, or if we are going to see multiple protagonists. Many believe it's the older gentlemen because of how many times he appears in the trailer and how the trailer is narrated. Some people think it's the guy seen in the red sports car, or the man running from the police, or possibly all three. I think all of these theories are good, but I am starting to think we might have it entirely wrong. Here's my idea - what if the narrator and everyone pictured in the trailer is not the protagonist, but characters you will meet? I'm starting to think the narration is actually dialog from a character you do missions for, or meet somehow, and is actually part of a conversation the protagonist will have with said character. Maybe R* is taking a different approach with this iteration and introducing the city, and the people around you before they introduce who you actually play as. Who knows. I'm not really even confident that this theory is correct, but figured it wouldn't hurt to put it out there since we are only working with a teaser at this point. Thoughts? Sorry to be such a dick but I really don't care about the search button or your topic. One of the reasons I avoid posting on forums is because of the inevitable "SEARCH BAR" replies. I honestly really don't give a crap. Last time I used search and posted in a similar topic, people told me not to "resurrect old topics" and to start a new one. It's impossible to please everyone. Plus, the thread you linked me too hasn't been posted in for over a month. I really don't see a reason why this can't be it's own thread. If you think there is a problem, just report it and move on. To be honest, with the little information we have, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it turns out to be the balcony man, nor would I have a problem with that. People don't like sorting through 1,000 different topic on the same subject. A unified discussion solves that problem, and is the entire point behind my topic. It was a place to consolidate everyone's ideas, instead of every member of the forums creating a new topic explaining who they think the protagonist is, and then creating another one when they change their mind. THAT is why this should have been posted there. To say that "I really don't care about your topic" would mean that you really don't care about anyone's opinion on the protagonist, in which case why are you starting a topic about it?
