SGT. Johnson
Wow, did any of you actually watch the trailer? CJ is at 1:06 and yes, CJ probably owns half of Los Santos - he's the protagonist after all. So.... You see a black guy so you assume it's CJ? Do you know there are millions of black guys in this earth? yes but he has cj's shirt and belt in case you didn't notice. Different pants Different shoes (CJ III wore black low tops) No tattoos on III CJ. Not the same belt buckle!

ll rdny ll
Come on f*ckstar we need info now !!!! Restart the Countdown! OP, if GTA V and III shared the same 'universe' then yes, CJ would own at least half of LS. But we're in a new 'universe' or dimension, which makes anything that happened in previous games (except GTA IV) irrelevant, as it "never really happened"
coin-god
Why on earth would he be wearing the same clothes. Seriously. And what you said about Ned Luke looking younger is very subjective. I don't think so, it's just the ligthing or camera angle.

Hidaweey
I respect your opinion but I doubt the black guy in the trailer is C.J, it does look like him but think about it, C.J was pretty much a millionaire by the time the Sanandreas story was finished, so unless something really dramatic happened in-between GTA Sanadreas and GTA V then I highly doubt C.J would be running through a back alley being chased by the police, wearing old boots and a vest, I'm just using my common sense of-course there are things I have not taken into consideration like the fact that V is set 25 or so years after Sanandreas! i think what happens in the gta5 intro is ur watching cj and sweet chilling in their mansion then all the sudden sweet shoots you in the back, steals your money and fame, and drops your body off in ballas country. but he didnt know cj was still alive so cj gets up and says: AW sh*t HERE WE GO AGAIN. then the theme song plays: and it shows all the citys: san fierro, las ventruas, and los santos for a minute. then cj goes back to grove st on his bike again and asks og loc to help him get revenge and they team up. this is where the max payne 3 story and gta5 story cross over with each other because og loc has to go to sao paulo since hes on a music tour (cuz hes a famous musician now) so cj comes along with him. i guess cj has to kidnap this guy's wife for some reason: and max payne ends up killing og loc trying to get her back i dont know what happens after that though but og loc is confirmed to die in the sao paulo mission. But we're in a new 'universe' or dimension, which makes anything that happened in previous games (except GTA IV) irrelevant, as it "never really happened" no because og loc is confirmed to be in the gta 4 universe along with cj So the era thing is complete SH*T !! cj running from cops confirmed LOL !! just saying ... I see I have a very persistent person on my hands: STRAIGHT FROM GRAND THEFT WIKI: Madd Dogg and Carl confront Loc, who initially denies the theft but then attempts to buy their silence. Jimmy Silverman, one of the executives of the record company, overhears the conversation and offers to sign Madd Dogg to the record label and sue Loc. Loc is sent to go get them all some lunch; his career is now finished. Madd Dogg takes back his rhymebook. It is nothing more than an Easter Egg. Trey Stewart, better known as Playboy X (1983-2008, optional). This means that Playboy X lived around the time of San Andreas, which would explain why he has a CD of OG Loc WHILE HE WAS FAMOUS! Now, it's 1992. This is what time period the game actually took place in. Still within Playboy's life span. After the downfall of Grove Street Families, Big Smoke chose to launder his drug money by granting Loc a record contract, making him rich and famous. Using Madd Dogg's rhyme book, he recorded his first (and only) album Str8 From Tha Streetz, immediately paired with a clothing company, Loc-Down (a reference to his prison stint, complete with a handcuff logo) available at Victim. He was interviewed by Lazlow on WCTR. Despite mocking him in the past, Big Smoke goes on with the charade that OG Loc is a gangster, and juxtaposes it with another falsehood that he (Smoke) is a philanthropist trying to fight off the crack epidemic - "so either way, you can feel good about yourself listening to this music!". Sometime along that line, OG Loc became famous. This is still within the timeframe of Playboy's life span, which explains how he had the CD. Therefore, OG Loc LOST his career in 1992 and was SUED by Jimmy Silvermann, and most likely lost all his money. Like RodneytheSavior said: IT'S A f*ckING EASTER EGG!!! ll rdny ll
dude the CD can be seen in the background of this very cutscene: EASTER EGGS ARENT SHOWN IN CUTSCENES. the wiki is bs Since it's technically a 'prop' easter egg, It would be in the cutscene. SGT. Johnson
@ Deadly Target, Roman was born in Serbia but moved to Liberty City in 1998. Alright; you have SOME leeway, but like it was said before; it's an Easter Egg. You never know, the CD could have still been in circulation at that time. We don't know how long it took for CJ to actually traverse San Andreas, trying to free his brother. Since thereis not really a definitive way to identify how long it takes to get up to "Cut Throat Business" there is no possible way to discern if GTA SA events still happened in the same year or otherwise. After further analysis, there is no indication or estimation of how long it took for the events of GTA SA to unfold. So, for now, you have SOME PROOF to your OG Loc theory. THERE IS INDICATION: References from previous GTA games: In the apartment in Bohan, next to the coffee table and in front of the bed, are a few CDs laying on the floor. Zoom in with a sniper to see that one of the CDs is by OG Loc from GTA San Andreas. There is also one by Madd Dogg. So, therefore, me and Rodney are BOTH right. Edited March 13, 2012 by SGT. Not every Negro you see running is Carl Johnson. And if he isn't dead, he'd own ALL of it. A certain person in the internet informed me that the word " Negro " isn't used since the fifties. Fix it or people will get mad. You have to say ni**er. Now. They're coming for you. OT: Well there's nothing more to add. Apart from the usual "Omg third era /=/ fourth era lol era omg you're retarded." I'll let the time tell.
bluesboyjr
the difference is that is just an easter egg and we already know that guy is niko with the guy in the gta5 trailer he's already wearing cj's outfit, looks just like him, in the same area where CJ starts off in GTASA, and my og loc theory supports that he is in fact CJ. If CJ did exist in GTA V's "universe", he'd be approaching 50. That guy in the trailer doesn't look nearly 50. As for the OG Loc CD, Rockstar has plenty of leeway on what can cross between universes. As well as companies, people can be referenced in both too as easter eggs, but only if they had an impact on pop culture within the game. So musicians like OG Loc, Love Fist, Crow and Madd Dogg, actors like Jack Howitzer and very successful business men like Donald Love from the "III Era" get to be referenced in GTA IV. However, these characters are only ever mentioned in the background or seen in low res pictures (OG Loc's and Madd Dogg's CDs, Love Fist's and Crow's advertised concerts, Jack being mentioned in a few news articles and Donald appearing on street newspapers) - the characters themselves haven't been brought back. Only the impact they left on the game's pop culture remains, because for GTA, Rockstar likes to think they're masters of pop culture satire. The pop culture remains the same across universes, while the characters, stories and locations are new. Notice how the pictures of OG, Madd and Donald are all their models from their respective games - they haven't been "HD'd".
