Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 I like your idea, I think it's got potential (Could be better with a unique name, but none the less, we dont have alot of PMC's here) but I Just wanna give you a few tips to help you get started. - The forum guidelines here state that you must operate from these forums if you're going to have a thread here and gain members here. For example, we keep a roster here, people can fill out a questionaire on this topic, and you can challenge, ally with, or declare war on other gangs that operate from these forums aswell. - Alot of gangs like to create a nicely designed thread, often with graphics (pictures), a story (Of how the gang/faction came to be), allies and enemies list, sometimes turf maps, and information like what system do you play on (ps3, xbox, pc) and what GTA's you play -- You can request graphics in the gfx request and tutorial section of the forums that you can find on the left side of your screen. Creators can make gfx based on what you want, just remember that they do it for free on their own time, so it may take awhile and they dont have to do your request if they dont want to. --- A story basically is just a few fictional paragraphs detailing how your faction became active. It's not required, but alot of people like to make up stories on like how their group came to Liberty City and formed ---- Turf maps and turf is something fun for people to do. Some crews are into collecting and battling over turf. You can claim turf as your own, even if someone owns it, but if they're interested they may want to battle you and the winner would gain said turf. This is all optional if you want to do it, theres no requirement so if its something you dont want to do, you dont have to. - A Roster is important. Having an updated roster on your thread is necessary, but only add people that have an account on these forums to your roster. All members to be on the roster have to have an account on these forums and post frequently on your thread. It helps you gain activity and integrate with the community, and allows other crews to contact your members if they should need to. - You can check out the various other gangs in this section for inspiration in designing your thread. Telling people to scroll down to look at information that should be within the first post is arrogant/unprofessional. Secondly, you can't have a private roster. That leads me to believe you are operating externally, which you technically was doing before the changes were incorporated. You can only have members on your roster that are a part of these forums. Making it private gives of the assumption that you only care to have members participating externally from here. Therefore you need to make the changes necessary.
