v-man
Hey all Take a look here: "At present, the Edinburgh coders are working around the clock to apply the finishing touches to GTA V, the next eagerly anticipated instalment in the series, which is due for release later this year. With Rockstar’s fiercely guarded secrecy, little is known of the game other than that it is set in LA and southern California. Whatever its content, it will doubtless smash a host of sales records and consolidate the company’s position at the vanguard of an industry expected to be worth £57bn by 2015. Not that they will rest on their laurels, according to Les The Benz, a key figure in Rockstar, whose work as the series producer has given him a multi-million pound fortune. “Until we’ve simulated the world outside,” he says, “we’re not going to stop.” source: http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/features...auto-1-2165895#

GTAxYushix
Hope its true... but even so finishing touches could mean the minigames etc and testing... gonna take few months still but it's better then nothing right?
Punk-in-Drublic
Nice find. Can anyone confirm the validity of it? Hope it's true, I think if it is, Rockstar will start bringing out trailers and screenshots and info between May and September...maybe an October-December release? RED_
In media they always use that term. The first trailer comes out and looks good and so they use these sorts of terms. "Apply the finishing touches" "Round off the edges" "add the last details" etc etc.
bluetops
“Until we’ve simulated the world outside,” he says, “we’re not going to stop.” A chance for Vice City,or other cities in a future game? This ends the debates that GTA V is the last in the series, hopefully. And at the end of the article,it says it came from the book "Jacked",which tells the story and history of GTA and Rockstar. Seems legit huh? Durden
Look at this quote at the end of the article! It gives me happiness that there will be plenty more GTAs: “Until we’ve simulated the world outside,” he says, “we’re not going to stop.” HELL YES

HeNDo6750
Right they released the first trailer back in november, which showed (i think) a completed game (or a 90 to 100% game) and is most likely finished now waiting to go out the release doors anytime soon within a few months (maybe sooner, hopefully). Also R* can't give out exact info to anyone outside R* as it will ruin their long planning of GTA V's true release date, and want to keep people guessing of when R* decides to release it. So whoever is saying Late 2012 to early to late 2013 is crazy to say, and not being positive about it Edited March 12, 2012 by HeNDo6750
gtacrazyz
funny though, a very trustworthy source mentioned this to me a few days ago about it being for sure this year and something about their (R*'s) secrecy methods... great news imo i don't think its speculation this time around... relatively confident that we're going to start seeing alot more very soon wonder what R* does for april fools lol

Slamman
This has been mentioned here ----> http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=503637 but yes this is great news Missed it, but what the heck, It's Scotland.... It's Rockstar North, good to get that news here in North America! The longer it takes since the trailer, further into the year, I worry about them getting the game released THIS year, but that hopefully increases the hope, but I won't place any bets. @Sclass The interview mentions R* people...Lee The Benz for one. That's Mr. The Benz, Les for short, not Lee, mate Edited March 12, 2012 by Slamman

Magic_Al
When's the last time Rockstar released a trailer much more than a year before the game came out? On that basis alone, it's most likely GTA V is coming out this fall.
