Oakshaft
Im sorry for the following if you find it offensive in any way but I dont care, it my opinion, so f*ck off and shove the hating stick up your ass: First thing that came to my mind was a school teacher saying to his students "You see this kids, your not going to see this everyday, it will only happen a few times in your lifetime! Its calling washing 2 trillion dollars down the drain" Actually... I think that everytime I hear about an attack on civilians whether it be from soldiers or terrorists. I wonder what country we will attack/occupy for no reason next? http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/3278374_460s.jpg
negrodamus
And the worst part is that he's putting his fellow soldiers in danger No I'm pretty sure the worst part is the 16 dead civillians including 9 children. I know this is going to sound terrible, but I care much more about his fellow soldiers than the civilians. It's a part of war. Civilians die. Yeah, it's tragic, but I'm much more concerned about US soldiers possibly dying because of the actions of this guy who snapped. Seeing comments like this just confirms my suspicion that Americans are scum. The US has killed roughly 6000 to 9000 civilians in Afghanistan so far, so many that it's hard to even get an exact figure. The Afghans would have to repeat 9/11... twice.... or thrice to even things up. I don't care in the slighest of American soldiers dying. They are there out of choice. There's no draft anymore that forces people to go into war. The civilians are not there out of choice. and they have no way of defending themselves. Only a sick human being would care more about soldiers, grown men there out of their own free will dying than small innocent children and civilians dying. What are the Americans thinking? They are supposed to be protecting the Afghani civillians, not killing them. It is the Taliban that the Americans are supposed to be killing, not the civillians. Also, the Americans should put protecting the Afghanis over protecting American soldiers as a priority. The Americans are in Afghanistan by choice, as there is no forced drafting and forced deployment of troops anymore, whereas the Afghanis are forced to be in Afghanistan, as Afghanistan is their homeland. Only a sick human being would care more about soldiers, grown men there out of their own free will dying than small innocent children and civilians dying. The Americans chose to put their lives at stake, whereas the Afghanis never chose to.
marmoo
pointless thread Had lil weasel actually added a bit more substance to the story such as discussion over the mental state of service men and women in war zones and how this has contributed to the actions of the individual we might, just might have had a reasonable discussion over the events in a constructive manner what I have seen from the last 2 pages is the type of trolling that the OP wanted to create Thread reported - up to the moderators now to see if they see any value in this thread jeez.....
