lil weasel
When posting a problem, please, include the following information about your computer: • Which Service Pack(s) is installed) • Processor? • Video Graphics card type? • How much graphics memory, and is it Dedicated or Shared? • RAM (random access memory)? This information may also help to identify your problem. You say your game 'is from a orignal DVD'. That is unusal wording. Do you have the Original DVD and did you install it from that Original DVD? Are you trying to play the game with that Original DVD in the Drive? Is the Game installed by the person having Admin Privieges?

lil weasel
Maybe it's got something to do with the affinity of your CPU quad core: Start the game, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del (this minimizes the game and opens up Task Manager), go to Processes, right-click on gta_sa.exe > Set Affinity > Uncheck all except CPU 0. Now return to the game Edited March 11, 2012 by lil weasel

lil weasel
Any further information when you click that 'warning' information balloon? I'm not fully up on quads, if you right click the GTA exe will it allow you to select the CPU "0"? lil weasel
No need to worry about that 'alert' message, as I expected it is normal I get it too. Search for CPU affinity or check your computers operating manual. What do you see if you RIGHT click the start icon? Girish
It's the Aero theme of Win 7 that is not compatible with San Andreas. Ideally, it switches to the Basic theme when you launch the game and returns to the Aero theme when you exit the game. If that's not working for you, try disabling the Aero theme manually. Go to Control Panel > Personalization and select the Windows 7 Basic theme. Now try running the game. Also note that Win 98 compatibility mode is the best mode for San Andreas. lil weasel
Ah Hah... There is your problem. The game is programed to run from the disc. Put and leave the disc in the drive when playing the game.
