Capricornus
oh god... how many times have we been through this? the protagonist is a 40-something mafia guy, not a ghettoblasting hip-hopping gangbanger Damn, I guess I missed the time where the protagonist was actually confirmed? Some one please provide a link to this being confirmed! And your point is invalid anyway. Look at Niko..... does he LOOK like a guy that would listen to hip-hop/rap? No. Was there a Hip-Hop/rap station on GTA IV's radio? Yes. Were you forced to listen to this kind of music in the game? Nope. If you guys are going to try and be smartasses, come correctly please. As for the topic, I don't give a sh*t as to who the protagonist is, that song by Pac would fit the culture perfectly and would definitely fit when you are driving through a gang infested section of LS. No doubt about it. I can see it makng the cut as well. For those who don't like it, stay clear of the rap stations. That's all.
Hidaweey
oh god... how many times have we been through this? the protagonist is a 40-something mafia guy, not a ghettoblasting hip-hopping gangbanger He seems like he's another white greedy rich corporate cocksucker. Lol. exactly! Why cant people accept the fact that we'll be playing as a 40-something balcony enthusiast who recently got caught up in white collar crime-a real gentleman's crime i expect soft rock and elevator music to be exclusive to the soundtrack you mean 60 not 40 because he is fat ass

Gtaghost22
Yeah... okay that's why they have a white guy narrating it and telling his story in the trailer...... R* didnt confirm the guy narrating is white.. He may be a white voice actor in real life, ,but the protagonist could still be hispanic in the game. More proof: Niko is from eastern europe (serbia) and his voice actor is a white american dude

The demand is high for 90's rap, so Radio Los Santos will probably be for it. but 90s rap seems to be a cliche, especially in modern day los angeles why not just have 1 rap station that plays all kinds of rap? Because I can't stand modern music So Radio Los Santos for G-Funk and 90's rap and another station for modern hip-hop Doesn't anyone remember that radio station ''The Classics'' in GTA IV? That radio station was totally dedicated to classic rap.

Tipper
and btw, the game takes place in 2012. This isn't the 90's anymore. What present day radio stations put old songs constantly? Nobody Have you played GTA IV? It features countless classic songs.
DatassGTA
Reposted for OP: I agree. It really does fit with the L.S. theme, obviously. I love tupac. It would be great if this song was in there. I was hoping for tupac to be in SA, but the time it took place in wouldn't let it.

pez555
since when did any music revolve around the protagonist in a GTA game? um....never. Why wouldn't this song be in the game? im sure there will be a rap/hip hop radio station (well i hope there is being it is based in LA)

AnthMUFC-Champs
I know you'll probably tell me to put this in the radio section, but I just think it's important that THIS particular song be in the game. They should make a trailer with this song too. Best ode to LA ever made, very underrated song: f*ck yeah i would love it if Rockstar even just included some 2pac tracks ! He is one of my favourite artists and the vibe of this songs just sums everything up about LA. It would fit nicely into the soundtrack despite who ever the protagonist is. DatassGTA
oh god... how many times have we been through this? the protagonist is a 40-something mafia guy, not a ghettoblasting hip-hopping gangbanger It doesn't matter. He can be a fat mafia warlord, or Betty White. The player still controls what he listens to in the radio.
Nebby
Ah, f*ck it. This is another song that need's to be in the game: Hell, if they did what they did with Movado and rerecord the song and instead of "New York City, L.A., and Miami" they could replace them with "Liberty City, L.S., and Vice City"... And if you think about it... it kind of list's the setting's in order... because we all know V.C. will be next...
brandrixco
I would really like if the indie rock station station had this song: Nothing like a cheery song about high school shootings XD
PhonixMonk
I don't know why people are under the impression that the protagonist of the game is a determinant factor for the radio stations within the game. To put it into perspective with an example from the last major release: there were two Jamaican radio stations in GTA:IV, but I doubt anyone would expect someone like Niko Bellic to be driving around town bobbing his head to Dancehall music. Nor would I imagine him to be the sort of person who drives around at night listening to old school Hip-Hop from the '80s, but they featured a station that catered to that anyway. Simply put, the ENVIRONMENT determines the radio stations, not the player-character's ethnic classification. Los Angeles has a lot of radio stations that cater to old-school Hip-Hop, underground Hip-Hop, and 'lowrider oldies' as they're known. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one '90s Gangsta Rap song featured in the soundtrack. I have no doubt in my mind that there will be 'ghetto' areas alike to the ones seen in San Andreas featured in GTA V. R* wouldn't base a game specifically in Southern California if they were going to exclude one of the biggest phenomenons to ever emerge from such a location (LA's sprawling urban gang culture). Trideez
I would really like if the indie rock station station had this song: Nothing like a cheery song about high school shootings XD I also suggested that song in one of the other music threads. It would definitely fit in in GTA. I think it's more important for the music in GTA to have a criminal feel to them than to have an LA feel. So a song like California Love or To Live and Die in LA, while they are great songs, they just dont put me in a criminal mindstate. People should post some songs that have that criminal feel to them. Chukkles
Add California Love to the ever-growing list. It really would work, if the city wasn't called Los Santos. Same for "Live and Die in LA". They won't put in songs naming the city other than Los Santos.
